This is a pretty simple setup - slide the battery on, slap some sandpaper on the bottom, attach the dust bag (if you want), and push the power button. The battery works similar to major brands - push the button to see how much power you have, push in the lock lever to hook it in or release it, and the same for the charger. It is a little teeny battery but it's lasted the 20-30 min that I've tested it so far. Another battery is about 3/4 the cost of the sander, so I don't know that it's terribly a priority. The charging time is a bit longer than major brands too. But it works and it's a lot less than the fancy ones. I'd say this is roughly H* Frieght quality (if not a bit more). It's great for an occasional project, and if you manage to kill this then get a fancier one.

I got this so it'd be easier to do those honey-do items around the house without having to jug a cord all over everywhere. This sander is great. It stripped off the finish on a dresser I had repaired and we were going to paint. The results were good. Probably comparable to my orbital sander. Overall, this is a great sander. However, when I went to empty the dust-catch bag, it was basically clean on the inside. So, I think the vacuum feature could use some work. This issue caused me to deduct a star - because it doesn't prevent the sander from working, it just means you should keep in mind that you'll need to clean your work area afterward.

Nice sander kit complete with sanding disks and tool bag, but it gets even better. While unpacking, I noticed the battery was the same as my backpack sprayer which are standard Makita batteries that are available everywhere under different brand names. Nice bonus, easy to find replacement/extra batteries if you don't already have them. The charger for the Sander is a nice bench charger that came with it, my Sprayer came with just a light weight plug in chargers. The sander is comfortable to hold, has the hook and loop base, comes with a good size package of disks, with replacement disks available wherever tools are sold. Judging by the upgraded charger, the heaviness of the sander, this will be around for a long time for the average homeowner user.

I like that it's cordless, and it's easy to handle. It came with three different grits of sandpaper. Changing the sandpaper is quick and simple. I used it to sand layered wooden boards, and the pointed pad is what I needed to sand the edges. It has good power, so that makes sanding fast. I like that it came with a carrying bag. It's large enough to fit everything in it. I gave it four stars because it's louder than I was expecting it to be. Other than that, it works great.

A simple tool, on/off only, non-standard battery. Comes with plenty of sandpaper, a good shape for getting in crevices. A *little* larger than comfortable to grip for my not-small hands. Will update with actual run time and actual use information after the weekend. :-)

This set comes with the cordless sander, 20v rechargeable battery, battery charger, sanding wedges, and a nice bag for it all to be stored. It is not to heavy, even with the battery and dust collection system works well. It does need to be dumped out regularly, this is to be expected. I was able to do a simple modification with a vacuum hose and connect it directly to my 2 gal portable shop vacuum. It is a very nice setup and a good value. This product is small in size and easy to hold. The fact that it is cordless makes it easy to use almost anywhere. It includes many sanding papers. The sanding papers are easy to add put on and take off the sander as they have Velcro instead of an adhesive. This little sander is noisy when it is run, which was surprising due to the size. I also wish it came with a second battery.

I got this to use for sanding spun decorative spindles on my deck. It works great to get into all the nooks and crannies. It's a very nice and powerful sander. Came with a lot of extra sandpaper pads with different grits. Very impressed!
