I wish this opened wider, and I wish the pads were larger/wider as well. As a person with thiiiiicc thighs, this is small enough that it can be a little uncomfortable to use. I'd like a little more resistance as well, but this is fine enough for what it is. I would not order this again.

Hey I wasn't expecting much for it being less than $10 but I think I'm going to get a lot of use out of this. It seems to be made out of fairly durable material, although I don't expect it to last forever. First thing to know is there's a little pin that keeps it held together when not in use. You need to make sure you're holding the device together before you remove it. The first time I replaced the pin I had it pointing away from the spindle. I found it hard to remove the next time because I couldn't get my finger underneath it so I recommend when you go to replace the pin make sure the part that you lift up with is pointed towards the spindle and that way it'll be easy to access. That said, my retired engineer brain is saying that the safety buckle as they call it is more convenience of storage and not really for safety and certainly not for longevity of the product. I may decide to not use the pin because it's keeping what I think is some sort of spring mechanism in the wound position most of the time hastening is failure. They give you some examples of exercises. The images are pretty small but even my poor vision can pick out what they're suggesting. In certain positions I find the device a little bit uncomfortable, as it's pushing in on the inside of my tender thighs it doesn't always feel great. Maybe it will feel better as I get more toned. I found repositioning the products so that it's closer to my knees is the most comfortable. I haven't tried all the exercises they suggest yet. I've tried it sitting on the couch, and laying down on my back. In the lying down position I found I can get an extra exercise in if I do a pelvic tilt every time I squeeze in my thighs. That may actually be making the exercise easier for me but then I will beprobably able to do more of them. Overall recommended. ... show more

Pros: - Very compact device makes for easy storage. - The textured paddles keep the device from slipping when in use. - Both my wife and I were able to easily incorporate the device into our regular exercise routines, and we both could feel the burn. Cons: - The retention pin is not secured to the device, and its small size might make it hard to find or easy to lose if you're not careful. - There's no way to adjust the tension on the spring for harder workouts as you get stronger, so your only option is to increase reps in that case. Overall, this is a great and useful addition to help strengthen the lower body in many ways. Recommendation: For such a reasonable price, there's no reason not to add this machine to your collection and workout routines. ... show more

I wanted to order one of these thigh exercisers but there are so many out there I wasn't sure which one to get. This one is simple and does the job with ease. It doesn't have a counter or anything but it is not bulky, it is easy to use and does what it should and the part that you rest on your legs is pretty comfortable. I can see that this device may be beneficial for someone who is unable to work out as it’s able to be used when in a sitting position or even in a supine position to get a muscle workout. It’s also easy to add in before or after a yoga session to work the larger muscle groups. The pads are adjustable offering a customizable fit for just about anyone. This device feels well made and glides open and closes smoothly. For the cost of under $10.00, this is a fantastic device to help someone build muscle and increase strength without a huge investment and taking up space.
