Wow. I’ve used heating blankets for years...this one takes the cake! First, it is thick and soft and I don’t feel the internal wires as much as some other blankets. It looks well made and very nice. The plug to the blanket HAS PRONGS! So it won’t come out unless you want it to! Genius! Also, you can program the temperature AND the shutoff time, up to 12 hours! So great! I can sleep all night and not worry about it turning off, I can set it to turn off automatically in an allotted time in case I forget! While it is very warm and my husband thinks perfect, I do wish it got very hot (my liking is way to hot for most people). Still, it does the job very well. I love it.     • Not happy with the unit
I encountered several problems with the blanket and returned it. (1) it did not provide warmth the full width of my King size bed. I was just using it on my side of the bed and if I moved to the edge of the bed there was no heat. (2) for me, the blanket was too heavy and excessively pulled down on my feet when laying on my back (3) I live in an area where there are frequent very short losses of power. When this happened the blanket would turn off and stay off until I manually turned it on again (4) there is no auto turn on for preheating the bed (5) cannot see the control buttons in the dark making it difficult to adjust at night. Also, the buttons are flush with the surface of the control thus I could not feel the buttons in the dark. If you do manage to find a button and press it the display is on for only a few seconds. (6) the screen display quickly turns off making it difficult to determine if the blanket is on/off (7) there was no documentation explaining what the display was telling me. Personally I would not recommend this blanket. ... show more

    • Good blanket but the controllers... not so much..
First off... This thing gets warm... really warm. It is a heavy almost quilt-like blanket. I like a blanket with weight... others might find it too heavy. The controllers are the problem. For starters... they are blue, not white?... Secondly, the wires are about a foot short for a king size bed (another reviewer commented on this and I should have listened). Additionally, the controllers themselves are way too light. They do not sit flat because the weight of the wires actually tips them backwards. It is a bit of a wrestling match to press the controls. And finally... the controllers themselves are a bit awkward. The buttons are a bit clunky. There is no back-light to let you know what setting you are on should you wake up in the middle of the night and look to adjust the temperature. There is also therefore no way to know if it is on (or off) without pushing a button. This seems trivial, but it is actually pretty annoying. We love the blanket. It is thick and warm... The controls... not so much. With a few improvements, this would be a great electric blanket. ... show more

I bought this to replace our old dual control Biddeford fleece electric blanket because we upsized our bed. PROS: it is a flannel-type so it doesn't stretch like the fleece; it does not "walk" up or down the bed- it stays put (unlike the Biddeford); the controller only lights up blue when you first turn it on and then automatically goes out within a few seconds so your room is not lit up all night; the wires are very thin; quick heating; oversized and can be used as a bedspread; dual control CONS: the controller display can be hard to read as it is a bit small (and the light does not stay on-but I like that) I do wish for a better color selection as this blanket is so warm I am not using a bedspread anymore so now I just have boring blue. The blanket is very warm without using the heat. We both only use level 1 setting, mostly. I could use a .5 setting. I don't know how anyone would sleep on HIGH-maybe if it was snowing and the windows were open. I would not buy a fleece one ever again. We are super happy with this blanket. ... show more

    • Works well but is heavy
Size: King Color: Lilac
Works well. Issue is that the blanket material is thicker and heavier than anticipated. We almost always turn it on early, let it and the bed get good and warm, and then turn it off when actually getting into bed for the night. Very comfortable to start, but in a short time, the bed becomes too warm. This blanket would be warm and effective even if not electric. So it almost always ends up getting kicked off down over the foot of the bed for the rest of the night. For sleeping in a consistently very cold room, it likely would be great. Controls are mixed blessing. Blue light goes out soon after blanket turned on. That's good because no distracting light on bedside table, but bad when you want to adjust the blanket in any way, like turn it off. Trick is you need to touch one of the heat level or time buttons to reactivate the blue light in the window and then you can see what you are doing. We were unhappy with the heat function of our old Sunbeam blanket, but it was fairly thin and no problem turning the heat off and just keeping it on the bed for the night. Always trade-offs! ... show more

    • Heavy blanket that gets hot
This is a very warm blanket even when it is not turned on. It is a heavy blanket (not medium like the company's description). It does not slide off the bed like a lot of cheaper electric blankets do - it stays put! It keeps me super warm at night and heats up fast. I bought mine in 2018 and have washed it several times and it comes out perfect each time with no issues. I wish the cords to plug it in and the cords that connect the controllers to the blanket were longer but they are long enough to reach the top of my king size bed; the inconvenience of that isn't worth knocking off a star since the blanket is soft, warm, heavy and well made in every other way. I like it so much I bought three more for my kids. ... show more
