  • The product is hwavy duty and make extremely well
Expensive shovel, I know. Worth it? Ehhh....The product is hwavy duty and make extremely well. There is no doubt about that. It does perform better than any other shovel I have used in the past. Again, no doubt. The only downside is the price. Maybe it simply costs what it costs and that is just the way it is. Maybe I am an old man and complain about price. Either way, you need to know that the product is amazing and works great. It just comes at a price. ... show more

  • These are very well made and work well.
The shovel is well-constructed with quality materials. It pushes snow very easily across wood, cement, and asphalt surfaces. The angle of the blade is set at a perfect angle, and there is no metal edge to wear out or cause damage. I expect many years of service from this shovel.

  • Great shovel
I orders this shovel to replace my warn out plastic with metal edge shovel, this is a very light weight shovel and great quality for the price you pay. I look forward to using this shovel once we get another plowable snow storm, as it looks very easy to use. It is build very strong out of durable materials. Putting the shovel together was a very easy and quick process ... show more

  • Good so far. One more point needed to help in assembly.
Rec'd this today. After watching assembly video and letting the shovel reach room temp, I assembled it. Not very difficult; if anything, a little awkward due to the slightly unwieldy size. (I bought the 30" blade). All went well until screwing in the handle to the black brace. I inserted the handle, making sure it was facing the same way as shown in the instructions. It was a pretty snug fit. I then held the entire assembly upside-down and tapped the assembly against our front-porch pavers hoping to get the handle into the hole at the correct/full depth. There are 3 indentations in the brace to accommodate the screws (very helpful). However, when drilling the holes I started farthest from the blade. The first 2 screws obviously went into the metal handle. (I saw small shards of metal when inserting the screws). However, I don't think the last one did. I saw no metal shards, and the screw went it far easier than the first 2. I think the 3rd isn't screwed through the handle. Now I'm a bit uncertain how long this will last before weakening, and it seems I'd only exacerbate any potential problems if I removed the screws and the handle, then re-inserted the handle and re-inserted the self-tapping screws into new holes in the handle. I held back 1 star for that. I'd recommend the manufacturer add a line/some marking around the handle to ensure the handle has been inserted to the proper depth. Until they start doing that, I'd recommend buyers measure the depth of the hole and mark the handle to that depth to ensure the handle is fully seated into the brace. Otherwise, it seems ready for the next snowfall, though now that I've bought this, like rain after washing your car, I know we've likely seen our last snowfall of the year. ... show more

  • I love it! No more lifting to clear a path from my dog door over my deck during a storm.
I got this and kept waiting for it to snow again just so I could try it out. It is a great design and so sturdy. I saw it demonstrated on TV by someone during a storm and knew it was just what I needed to keep clear the path from my dog door, across the deck to the area where my dog does her business. This area becomes the most important snow-clearing area during a storm! It pushes wonderfully and I can't wait to try it out during a snow storm. This would do any shorter concrete driveway in a city. And it would clear a sidewalk of a light snow in no time! Love it! ... show more

  • Finally, quality at a reasonable price!
When I selected this item, I didn't really expect much, given the low price. I was very pleasantly surprised. It seems rare, these days, that you purchase a manufactured product and are immediately pleased. I live in Wisconsin. We get snow. Shovels and plows are tools, not toys. Clearly, the designers are The Snow Plow have seen the sweaty end of a shovel. Even in the most subtle details, they simply got everything right. Though it is very light weight--I would guess half the weight of a similar-sized, metal shovel that this will be replacing--they did not sacrifice strength. This is built to withstand lots of work for lots of years. The components are rust-free, so, no more concrete stains. The hardware is robust. Assembly is painless and everything fits exactly as it should. The D-handle is sturdy and oversize--very ergonomic when you're shoveling at -20F and have thick mittens on. Even the wall hanger is designed in such a way that it hangs perfectly flush against the wall, minimizing space. The blade material will clearly wear over time, but, it's also a material that can easily be touched up with a sanding wheel. And, because the material will accept a little wear, it doesn't mar the concrete. My gushing may be silly over a shovel but I'm just tickled that someone really took the time to build a quality tool for this mundane chore. Thanks, The Snow Plow! ... show more

  • The sharpest knife in the the toolbox for snow!
If you hate shoveling like me you deserve this shovel. It should be issued to every family in the north country. No more heavy steel shovels, no more sticking snow and no more broken cheap plastic crap shovels. I've used this shovel for 8 years at the front door of a small commercial airport terminal and it's as good as the day I bought it. A few years ago I bought them for family Christmas presents and now I have one at home. The best feature next to it's durability is the scraper like qualities. If you have to shovel snow that's been stepped on or drove over this pulls up the snowpack like no other. You can even step on the back of the blade for more down pressure. It's so light and easy to handle. My elderly parents love the 20" version and I find the 30" is best for me. I'd like the 48" for the light snow too on the driveway too Ask yourself what you need in a shovel. Like a a knife there are several options depending on the need. This isn't a scoop shovel. Don't expect to dig out a snow bank. This is a pusher shovel that windrows snow to the side. I push snow to the side and blow it off with a snowblower. Made in the USA and the nuts n bolts at 7/16" My only regret is not getting sooner. ... show more
