    • The silly thing really works

I don’t have a problem with bottom contour sheets, but the top sheet never stays tucked in. This is a particular problem with cheaper cotton sheet sets, which shrink. Also, my husband is a very active sleeper and the top sheet and blanket end frequently end up on the floor. The little sheet garters for the corners don’t work at all. I didn’t have much hope for it, but the silly rubber band works just fine. I can get away with not tucking the top sheet under the mattress, just under the band, and it stays in place just fine. I tuck the bottom of the top sheet and the bottom of the blanket in the band, and he’s free to kick up a storm without losing his covers. Note that this a twin bed. I got the twin/full size and it’s plenty tight enough. I have to take the thing off when I change the sheets. I can’t imagine how you could get the bottom sheet off and on with it in place. ... show more

I was so excited for this and had some big hopes. I’ve been on the hunt for anything that will keep my fitted sheet down and this did not work. After just one night I woke up to the band popped up and onto the bed. I am giving it some stars though because I ticked the end of our sheets into it and that has been helpful. They don’t shift side to side all night now and make making it way easier in the morning. So that’s been nice but I do wish it would stay on on the top. ... show more

These are such a saver. It's so hard to make an air mattress bed, and make it look tidy. Plus, when you have the extra tall air beds like we have, there is no way to secure the fitted sheet, since it can't tuck between the mattress and floor. These bands solve all that. I've used them several times, and the sheets have stayed in place for the duration of our guests' visit. It is quicker to put on with some help, but it can be done with one person. ... show more

I’ve tried at least a half dozen products to try to keep my sheets on my bed, all with disappointing results. Sheet holders with clasps rip easily through sheets and are difficult to install. I thought the Rubber Hugger would be different. It is, but not by enough to be worthwhile. The Rubber Hugger is a giant rubber band, plain and simple. It looks like a rubber band, it smells like a rubber band, it IS a rubber band. Have you ever had a rubber band wrapped extra tight around something and, as the object it is around shifts, the rubber band begins to roll and twist? That’s exactly what the Rubber Hugger does on your bed. Any time your sheets would normally move, the pressure put on the band budges it a little and eventually the band gets twisted up. Once it’s twisted up, there’s no tension in the band, so you have to take it off and put it back on untwisted. The problem being that you will definitely have to do it again a couple nights later. I’m an exceptionally large, heavy person sleeping on a Queen mattress by myself and I favor one side of the mattress. Even with the Rubber Hugger on, my weight pulls the sheets under me and I wind up with the sheets ballooned out on the side of the bed under me when I wake up. The Rubber Hugger can sometimes just barely hold them on the mattress as the fabric is tugged but most of the time the Rubber Hugger will just come up with the sheets, all twisted up. This product might work better for a twin sized bed, a single, or couples of similar weight in a larger bed whose weight will balance out the tension on the fabric. Make sure you get into bed at the very same time, though! I’ve also been woken up in the night by a loud rubber band snapping sound only to find the Rubber Hugger has pulled up over the corner of the bed and is stretched out horizontally across the mattress, thankfully on the side I do not sleep on. The sound it made was loud enough to suggest that the product could have potentially injured someone if they’d been lying on that side. Likewise, I wouldn’t suggest this for a young child who might jump on the bed or someone who requires assistance such as being moved or flipped on their bed, as the band WILL come up with weight forcefully applied to the sheets and it sounds like it comes up with some pretty serious velocity. The Rubber Hugger works in theory but not on large beds, for large people, or anybody who might cause the mattress to sink unevenly. It’s a rubber band, guys. You’re better off just using a big flat sheet as your bottom sheet and getting a bigger duvet so nobody sees the wrinkles. ... show more

fitted sheets are always too big on my twin bed. I believe that my mattress may be an off size. received new sheets for Christmas marked twin that are huge. have tried “ mattress suspenders” in the past but they did not work for me. This mattress hugger took minutes to put on the bed. bottom sheet is snug & takes just a little smoothing out in the morning. I bought this because my husband has always pulled his corner of the sheet off of the mattress. The rubber hugger DID help with this. In fact it keeps all the corners fairly tight. But the middle of the sheet still slips and wrinkles some. All in all, it does what I wanted, so good rating
