Despite being in a sleep sack, my 6 month old daughter was constantly sticking her arms and legs through the slats in her crib and would sometimes end up crying. She often rolls and smack her head against the crib sides which made me uncomfortable since there was nothing to pad the sides to reduce the impact. I know so many pediatrician/baby experts claim that you shouldn't use crib bumpers in cribs due to potential suffocation or strangulation hazards. I loved that this product was mesh so in the chance she rolled her face to the liner, she could still breath. And it's got a slight padded feel to it, so when she rolls her head to the side, she is less likely to hurt herself. We've been using the liner for over 6 months now and still going strong. I was a cosleeper with my baby and when we finally put her in a crib her little arms and legs would get in the bars and I was so afraid of her getting hurt from that. My son has a tendency to knock his pacifiers off the crib when he sleeps and this crib bumper was the perfect solution to keep them contained. It fits snug to the sides and I no longer have to fish the pacifiers out from the depths underneath. It's also a breathable mesh so that gives me some peace of mind as he tends to shift up to the edges of the crib when he sleeps. As far as installing it to the crib, it's rather straightforward.
