Jacket is very well made however does run small in the chest area. If you have a wide back or a bigger chest I would recommend sizing up. It sits right at the hip and the zipper is very smooth. The hood easily comes out and goes back in depending on the style you like to wear. Easy to clean as well. Light weight and waterproof.

I own a Resolve jacket in a size XL and love it. It is waterproof and windproof- very versatile. I wanted a size larger to allow for a more roomy fit over hoodies and bulky sweatshirts. This XXL fits tighter in the arms and shoulders than my XL. I don't know if it is a quality control issue, but this is literally smaller than my other jacket. I'm giving it a 4 star review because I know it is a great jacket, but cannot give it 5 stars since the sizing is so off.

This jacket fits well, the sleeve length is just right, the hem can be tightened on both sides for a snug fit, and it is breathable. I had previously ordered the Marmot Precip Rain Jacket and returned it the same day. The Marmot jacket stuck to my skin the moment I put it on making me feel hot as the material inside the jacket had a plastic feel to it. The North Face Jacket has a mesh liner inside that feels so much better. The sleeves on The North Face are lined as well as the hood and pockets. It does not have zip pits which would have been perfect , and it does not fold into it's own pocket for storage. However, it is very packable for either backpack or suitcase. The North Face is heavier than the Marmot and the jacket does not rustle when you move compared to the Marmot. I have yet to wear the North Face in the rain but have no doubt it will stand up to a hard rain and it will keep me dry. A heavy hooded sweatshirt can be worn under this jacket and the fit remains comfortable. The hood does not have a Velcro sticker to pull the hood from the face so I'll probably add one myself, or wear a baseball cap under the hood. The hood does have a small brim though that is helpful. The hood stashes into the collar the same way in both jackets with a Velcro fastener keeping the collar closed. Both jackets are machine washable and closing the zipper and fastening the Velcro tabs before washing will keep the mesh liner from snagging on the Velcro. I was really impressed with the quality of this jacket compared to the Marmot which had a thinner, cheaper feel. The price point for the North Face was nearly twenty dollars less than the Marmot jacket. All in all, I found The North Face jacket to be an excellent buy!

I am a longtime fan of The North Face clothing, so when I saw this windbreaker, i ordered it. It had very good reviews, but then I have read that up 60% of reviewers are paid for their positive reviews. I am not getting paid for mine! It’s beautiful, well made, as all TNF clothing is, and I think I will be using it a lot next Spring. I was torn between ordering a Medium or a Large, and decided on a Medium, as all my TNF jackets are that size. I wanted to have plenty of room to wear a warm fleece top under it. This jacket fits my 5’6”, 127 lb frame snuggly around the middle, so there really isn’t room for a thick layer under it. However, the shoulder seams would be too wide for my narrow shoulders in a Large, so I’ll keep the Medium. It has a nice mesh lining, a must for me, as I sweat when I fast walk for an hour every morning. I love the nice roomy hood for when I get caught in a shower. I got the white to go well with all my spring and summer clothes.

FANTASTIC RAIN JACKET!!! This is an AWESOME product!!! Authentic, high quality, I love The North Face. Retails for 90, got mine in a Medium for 54. I’m 5’3 130lbs and based on reviews I got a medium. It was too big. I’m a small and should have ordered a small, so I’m returning this one and ordered the small. Product is true to size. I tried on similar products at the mall, all of them were overpriced and not as nice! They didn’t have a nice lining like this one has! The other thing I love about this jacket is the collar is a soft cotton material! The jacket has pull strings around the hood and at the bottom of the jacket to lock out rain in rugged hikes. Pockets are zippers, and the front is a zipper with a Velcro cover. The hood can be nicely tucked into the collar and Velcro to seal it when it is not in use. Has a logo on the front left and back right. GREAT RAIN COAT!!! I even tested it with a bottle of water and the water beads off. I haven’t actually worn it in the rain yet. It is a light product, so summer use is ideal. For me, a small was still roomy enough to layer a sweater underneath for cooler weather. Great investment, very satisfied customer!
