Waterproof is good. It has no lining, but turns out it doesn’t need one. The material is breathable, so there is actually no need for lining. Color is vivid. Overall I like it.

I wanted to love this jacket. Like the color, the quality and the pockets were great. I am 5'8, 148 lbs with a slim built but have large breasts for my frame. I got the large, as I have several Northface mediums that fit everywhere but my chest. It was about 20 percent too big every where else. I okay with that. Like Patagonia, Northface is now not producing athletic level apparel. It is more suited to urban prowling. I tried the jacket on a 65 degree day with 20 mph winds on a five mile hike on level terrain. I sweat less than most with heavy exertion in even high temps. The interior lining feels like vinyl. I have never worn a vinyl picnic table cover, but I think it would feel like this jacket. I had the pit vents open. Within minutes, the jacket was sticking to my neck and exposed arms. All were moist. I had to open it to finish the hike, so had to deal with the wind. When I removed it, my back was wet under my pack, and my shirt was soaked at the neck. I would imagine that cycling, hardcore hiking or backpacking would be miserable in this in warm temps with rain.
