These work okay, they're very slow to absorb moisture just so everyone understands this. This will not clear up a room/car within hours, even days. I have one of these in my car, and cycle when it gets full, but this takes months. This isn't an active/electronic dehumidifier that cycles air, this will only clear the air that it's actively near at any point in time. Because of that, this will take quite a long time to clear an active moisture problem. This product is used to PREVENT moisture buildup, and it works AMAZING for that, and I love it. (I buy these at the dollar store so if I don't have verified purchase that is why). But if you left your car window open and had it rain, this will not help you much, you need to dehumidify your car before using this to prevent mold, again, this will not help you much if that's the problem, or a super bad leaky basement. Again, this is to prevent moisture buildup. I personally have one of these in my washroom, and one in my convertible car. My car doesn't leak but convertibles aren't 100% sealed so this prevents active moisture buildup from becoming a problem, and this takes multiple months on end to fully absorb and become used up in both the washroom and car. I'm posting this because I see multiple reviews of people throwing this in a room with water problems and seeing it not helping within days and leaving bad reviews, you're using this completely wrong, you need a REAL dehumidifier, not a moisture prevention device such as this. ... show more

    • Think It Works? No More Musty Smell...
My daughter is always complaining about the smell of my two least used vehicle in the garage. I never noticed anything but recently I took out one of the two (after leaving the product in my car for a few months) and noticed something different -- it wasn't as musty smelling or was it my imagination?
