It doesn't come with both parts of Elsweyr, like comeon. North and South, only 1 is apart of this. Like what the hell. You might be better off buying one of the new versions of this as they come with previous expanisons. But this was cheaper at the time i got it plus that 15 dollar discount thing i had. I have a variation of this on the XBox an thought this would be a nice distraction on my mac laptop from time to time. Don't Do It!!!! it will not install, crashes every time. It will not run, and you I can't remove the partial install. Everything else I have the option to delete, but not this.

It comes in a box with a CD and a digital code, I redeemed the digital code in ESO and I was able to download the game and the launcher without using the CD at all thankfully. Also I'm in Middle East and there was no issues redeeming the code at all so I believe there's no region lock.

playing about three months now and i still feel i've gotten nowhere in this game. there is a ton of solo content and voice acting, but aside from half decent scenery this games strong points start to fall off. there isn't much competition in the american mmo market right now, so i dove into this and even bought my friend a copy {you can find the new one on sale mind you} but i'm on the fence about it now. the leveling experience just isn't very fun compared to other games. i think i'm going to leave this one at 2 stars as a personal timesink so, coming back after several more weeks to update my review and unfortunately i'd give this 1 star if it wasn't such a polished single player questing pve experience. all i'm saying is the game isn't out of date as far as that is concerned. as for every other aspect of an mmorpg experience it fails, very much so. you can't 'earn' anything in-game except basic things and xp points {and theres 800 levels, lol what} and the 'abilities' you get to slot those points into are super generic categories, so basically, grind forever in your spare time to get stronger. you can increase your crafting abilities but many of the professions are time gated and you grab a 'researcher faster scroll' from the in game market. what you can craft is limited by bought 'dlc' access or you find someone who has it to do it for you. All roads in this game lead to the crown store, as i said there is literally nothing you can earn other than a 'go here and do something 50 times, or meet circumstance a to get z reward or achievement.' you can upgrade your character and armor and abilities and it will make certain pve things easier from when you did them at a lower level, but if you want to actually make an impact or branch off into trying pvp they 'balance' your stats to be 'fair.' {so basically any normal means you played through to make your character more interesting is watered down} and furthermore it's one of those games where they keep things imbalanced and make a set of something more 'flavored' than another, so you feel good if you try out that thing, but you're at a horrific disadvantage if you take the route of being an average player who thought they could enjoy the game because they purchased it. no, this is a 100% buy our "non-manditory" subscription package if you want your 'flavor' kind of game. ... show more
