We've just started redoing our garage, and I've needed a new vise for a long time since my old one has sadly broken after 15 years of use. I've never had an issue with using vises, and this one performs just as well! The clamps on it are beveled so clamping power is increased without the issue of sliding. I've never owned a swivel bench vise, but I do love the idea of it! No issue securing it down to the workbench, as well securing the swivel base! Never thought I needed my vise to rotate until I got this one! ... show more

My usage is a combination of metal bending, metal work securing and mini-anvil as needed. This vice is the right size and solidity for all of those tasks. Unbreakable? We'll see - I'm not easy on my tools.... But it looks promising. Why not 5 stars? Little things - it came so very greasy that I had to spend a while cleaning it up before application. Also the nut on the end of the handle WILL NOT STAY TIGHT! (I will peen or strake it). The finish says medium quality, frankly. Finally - the price seems a bit high, IMO. ... show more
