Smaller than I expected - but really it’s all I need, and for what it is it’s fantastic. I just got a new workbench for my garage, and it’s so nice I didn’t want to drill holes in it to mount my massive 1970s solid iron vice - so I picked this up. It’s a lot smaller than I expected, but for how often I need a vice and for what I typically need a vice for, this works perfectly. The clamp to mount to the table is solid - screw it down TIGHT and the vice will not move at all (unless you REALLY give it the beans, trying to budge it - but you’ve got to mean it. Normal use and it’s solidly in place.) The rubber/plastic grip covers work well to prevent marring of surfaces - no need to use the towel-trick to protect whatever you’re clamping in place while you’re working on it. ... show more

The “Housolution Universal Table Vise 3 Inch” works well. It is what I expected. It’s small and made for light duty. The clamp mounting makes it easy to use anywhere on my bench. I’ve seen several reviews where the vise jaw broke. So far mine is working well. I’ll update if that happens.

Update- there customer service is very good. They offered me a full refund which I actually declined because this vice does work and I am using it. The arms are just not very deep. I increased from 2 stars to 3 based on customer service. They even offered to send me pictures and drawings if they make a new model that might work better for me so I can give feedback. I’d recommend they add detailed measurements to the description so you know the bottom of the jaws of the vice are only about 1/2” away from the screw/bolt/shaft that closes the vice. Very shallow grip which may be great for some people. It just is too shallow for chain saw sharpening Previous review below…… The depth of the clamps is very minimal. I have a narrow 18" chainsaw bar. I got these to help by clamping the vice to my work table and then planned on putting the bar into the vice. It is barely deep enough to put the bar on their without the chain bottoming out and hitting the vice. It's just a bit too shallow. Also the clamp to go onto the table isn't wide enough on either side, so unless you are clamping in the perfect spot this is going to slide off your work table. It was cheap so I will use it for some things, but if I had seen it in a physical store I would have realized the clamp to attach to tables is poorly positioned and the jaws of the vice itself are very very shallow/short. ... show more

A very sturdy table vise for the money! Comes with 2 sets of rubber pads for the table clamp and jaws. The rubber pads for the jaws can easily fall out, but hey I can't complain for the price (but I am sure others do). The vice is very solid, the jaw slide action and rotation is smooth - better than I thought for the price. Overall I am happy with it as it is a good table vise! ... show more

Very sturdy and well made for the price. I wanted a small vise with an anvil that will attach to the desk and match the colour. I also wanted one that came with rubber pads to protect the desk. The included pads are ok. I plan on replacing the pads in the jaw grips themselves as they’re not great quality, and I haven’t used them with heat yet, but they’re a start. I really needed a vise to do some work on a rifle. The pads that cover the clamps and vise are total garbage and don't stay in place if you're putting good pressure on whatever it is you're working on. I had to use socks (an old belt would likely do) to be sure the vise didn't damage/scratch any part of the rifle. The entire thing is a bit stiff and is hard to tighten/loosen. All in all, this was a pretty cheap solution to my problem and I feel one should expect all of the above for this price. As the title says, it got the job done. If you're in a pinch and don't have a work bench that you can put a real vise on, this isn't a bad alternative. 👍 ... show more
