I purchased this to give to my wife as the final part of a puzzle box based Christmas adventure. I realize that at $70 USD, it might seem expensive to some, but understanding the puzzle box community and knowing exactly how in depth and expensive some of these can get, the Tesla Box by Puzzle Potato hits a pretty sweet spot of awesomeness for value. I would defiantly recommend this for a lover of puzzles and clue boxes. It is a well thought out, well crafted sequential discovery box that even had her scratching her head. There are a few difficult challenges that will make you really use your memory. The sense of discovery around each turn. The brick walls just to go... AH!! Shifting the pieces around is easy and it was extremely well crafted and put together. Compared to similar size puzzle boxes, I'd say this one is pretty darn amazing with the addition of magnets and electrical components. Final verdict. 10/10. The only thing that will light up more than the box will be your eyes as you find yourself falling into the sense of awe and wonder. Fantastic challenge and the electronics are the cherry on top. This is a very innovative and clever puzzle The materials and fit of all the parts is top notch and where they have to move it's done so smoothly. This was very enjoyable, although at times head scratching. To be honest, when I really became stuck I did not hesitate to reference the hints to get back on track. It's the kind of project with many Ah-ha moments. A bit of a higher price point than others but it does boast quality, complexity.and a circuit board with working electronics. It's not instant gratification but I wouldn't want it to be, Where than would be a true puzzle experience? A clever surprise awaits at the end. I eagerly await more Puzzle Potato offerings.
