This is a fun puzzle we gave to our 2 grandkids for Christmas and they loved it. They are nice looking and well made but I only gave it 4 stars since one of the first 2 didn’t work at all so had to exchange it and the replacement worked great. They were a big hit but check it before you gift it.

I was surprised at how difficult it was for my targets to get open. One is 22, the other 13, and neither one could open it without a clue. Well constructed, and difficult to solve.

I was very happy with the quality of this puzzle given the price. A gift card from off the rack at a grocery or drug store fits well (as opposed to one you may buy directly at a store that folds into an envelope, that may be tight but still work). It’s a great way to make something that may feel a little less personal like money or a gift card a bit more special or creative. We gifted it to a 13-year-old and he and my daughter, who is great at puzzles and the same age, spent about 30 minutes trying to get it open until they waived the white flag and scanned the item on Google for a hint. Regarding a reviewer who said it didn’t come with directions on how to solve the puzzle—if it comes with the instructions for how to get the gift inside, which mine did, that’s how you solve it. It doesn’t open any other way. It simply locks into place after you put the gift inside, and to get it out, you repeat the same steps. Highly recommend! ... show more
