First time for my son and I to try this kind of puzzle. We had a nice three hour session where he initially worked on it himself and then eventually we worked together (him mostly) to solve it. We had a fun time. It's pretty well designed. A few pieces were sized just a slight bit swollen and did stick a little bit, but not enough to prevent enjoyable play. A really nice puzzle that can be regifted to someone else afterwards -- as there is no repeat enjoyment value after it's been solved. But it was worth it for the fun we had for the three hours it took us to solve it. Another similarly constructed puzzle would probably be the 60-90 minutes as suggested. ... show more

First: this puzzle is BEAUTIFUL. The craftsmanship is phenominal. The intracy is pleasing to the eye, yet does not cause the puzzle to appear overwhelming or too fragile. This was purchased as a gift for someone who loves puzzles such as Rubix cubes and other similar brain teasers. It was fun to work on it together! In total, it took us 4 hours to do, simply because we tested movements before we made them and did a lot of brainstorming. The box advises some pieces are harder to move than others by design, so none of our actions felt precarious. Once put back together, it'll make a great statement piece for our bookshelf. This is a one-of-a-kind puzzle box. I had so much fun figuring it out because it is so much an SD (sequence discovery) challenge. Everything happens for a reason, and it all works well. No forcing, and not harsh handling is needed. Just use your wits, and you will win the day for Camelot. Understand, there are 7 challenges to be had, and all of them are worth the effort. So many ways to make you think, and act, in one well made, and good-looking piece of puzzlement. There is also enough room in it to put a gift inside, as if the box wasn't enough. ... show more

    • Affordable sequential mechanical puzzle!
One of two from the collection I have. Fun solve even for being an avid puzzler. Actually got stumped at one of the stages and felt my way through the challenge rather than trying to understand what the trick was. Spend the time to figure the box out as you'll be impressed by the creative challenges and get more out of the puzzle!     • Lots of fun!
I had a great time with this puzzle! It was a real brain teaser! The graphics and all the small parts are fun (would not recommend end for small children) and it was fun to figuring each side out to get tot the middle! The only thing is it was hard to put the small pieces back together.

This puzzle is definitely not easy, after many fits of howls and screams at not understanding the mechanisms, Dr. ZeUs explained the procedure. The doctor says I’ve shown great promise amongst my troop, I hope I still stand in his good favor after the slight rebellion.
