I really like this hot comb. The color, how fast it heats, the heat settings, and it has a cord strap! The literal only reason why I can’t give it five stars is that the teeth can get bent and I didn’t know that but I learned the hard way but i just bent it back and it worked fine.

I used the hot comb to straighten and flatten the top of this wig and LOVE THEM. I also love how fast they get hot, on top of having the little stand to hold them up. Don’t have to worry about burning or melting a surface to place them on. It also have some type of plastic guard cover on the comb that’s removable, and i love that too. A great buy. ... show more

I bought this because of the guard - I need it since I use it on my beard, which is thick, long, gray and wavy. I thought I would need the highest temp seeing but it turns out the lowest works great! The guard is crucial to keep me from burning my face, and it works great with one caveat - the guard eventually heats up too, so best practice is to remove the guard, turn it on to heat up to your desired temp, THEN slide the guard back on. You'll be done before the guard gets too hot. Excellent device that works as promised! Buying another for travel. 😉👍 ... show more

The product itself is five stars, I only gave three stars, because I don’t like the fact that when the hot comb is plugged into the outlet, even with the hot comb being off, as long as it is plugged in the outlet it still gets hot as if it’s on which is a safety hazard for me. Me as a hairstylist, keep all my hot/hair tools plugged up, because they all have an off position! Yes I am aware that even when things are off the current is still live, but this is something I have never seen before, it probably could cause a fire or even servere burn if you were to touch it, thinking it’s off! As far a temperature, it’s great, get HOT ASL, again even when it’s turned off too, so just imagine when it’s actually on. I have only taken it up to 410 degrees. It’s straighten great leaves the hair silky, I don’t use the attachment that comes with but it still works great with or without! It’s definitely worth your $$$. Just be sure to unplug when you are done! ... show more
