Clubs arrived on time and were packaged very well. Quality is superb and I immediately played 8 rounds with them and they feel even better on the course then when I tried them in the fitters. The D2 swing weight feels great with my tempo and my yardage is about 1.5 clubs longer then my previous set. Definitely stronger loft but forged head and muscle back design helps every shot feel flushed. Low ball spin but I haven’t had any issues holding the greens. I needed to retool my bag and after much research and testing, I picked up a set of these Taylormade P790 irons, 5 thru PW. Simply put they are the best set of irons I have ever hit. And I have hit many through the years. The ball comes off like a canon, with a higher trajectory and yet still longer. I find that they also offer decent forgiveness. They look great, like a blade, but play like a cavity back iron. Well done TM!!!! ... show more

I was playing Taylormade MB's and as I have aged I have lost distance. I needed the added forgiveness and distance and I got it with these clubs! Highly recommend buying these clubs!

I will be comparing these irons to my previously irons. I previous irons were Taylormade M2 Tour irons. I loved these clubs. They hit great, felt great and were very consistent. I loved the sound of the M2 and the feel of the ball off the club head. I had an opportunity to get these P790 Taylormade Irons. I was excited to give the a try and did a lot of homework on them before getting them. I am not one to just trade in my old set for something new. Out of the box, these look a little intimidating, in fact the first time I took them out I could not hit them at all. Not consistent and not very comfortable standing over the ball. It just a little different. After 3 or 4 rounds with these irons I have to say I make great contact and they feel great. I can grab the 4 iron and know I will hit it without reservation. This is what I like about the clubs. The look is by far the best thing about these clubs. They are almost like art work. The look and appeal to most eyes. The face and top edge of all the irons look nice. They are not much different from my M2 irons, but my M2's were black and these are a shiny finish. The sound. I like the sound of the club hitting the ball. The contact feels good. Addressing the ball, setting the iron behind the ball looks and feels normal. Not like a blade iron. The top edge is not thick and is appealing to the eye. The shaft is extremely high end. Most of the way you hit the ball is in the shaft and head. consistency is key for a great golf shot. These are some of the best shafts on the market today. The grips are golf pride. They are not my favorite, but will do until its time to re-grip and then I will get my favorite golf pride grip. Very happy with these irons. I do wish I had a AW wedge in this set, but am extremely happy with these irons. ... show more

I got these clubs after reading multiple great reviews about them and in hopes of finding a set of clubs that would be somewhat forgiving. These clubs look absolutely amazing and the sleek design makes for a effortless glad through the air. The shafts are very strong and sturdy and make for a soft impact when solid connection is made. When solid impact is made and the sweet spot of the club its like cutting butter with a hot knife. You hardly feel any impact and the flight of the ball is something to be amazed at. The grips of these clubs are very strong and I would find it hard to believe that these could fly out of anyone's hands. I have no idea if it was because of the clubs or maybe I was playing more cautious because they were new clubs but I shot my lowest round ever my first time trying these out. The price is kind of steep but honestly totally worth it. The brand itself is worth the month and for the performance of the clubs I would pay it all again. I definitely recommend these clubs if you are looking for a great quality set of clubs that will not let you down. I couldn't be more happier with this set. 10/10 would buy again if I had to get new clubs. ... show more

Beautifully crafted with just the right overall weight, balance, and flexibility. The set includes the 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and Pitching Wedge (something the description oddly doesn't indicate). Now I need my game to improve so that I can truly take advantage of all these clubs have to offer.

Ordered a full set of these clubs and only received the 4 iron. Pretty frustrated considering that I will have to go through the process of a return and will also not have the whole set in time for my golf trip to pebble beach in 2 days.
