I have always been a Cobra fan, and when I saw these on sale I figured I'd give it a shot. I absolutely love these irons, they are buttery smooth and have a bit more forgiveness than some of the other players irons I've hit. About me- I’m 63 years old, been playing since I was a teen. In my mid 50’s I began a period in my life that I was able to play more frequently and develop a deep rooted understanding of the game. Today, my HC fluctuates from a 7.4 - 8.8, that has been pretty consistent for three years. When I spotted the incredible price on the Cobra King MIM Tour irons offered through Gold Discount on Amazon, I was stunned! Checked other retailers and found they were still selling them at $1299.00! I was very familiar with the KBS steel shafts, specifically the $Taper 120, had them in my last set. I ordered immediately and had them in three days. Just finished my first round with them. I only pulled out my driver on the par 5 holes, otherwise I played the new Cobra King Tour irons. First hole, a 387 yard par 4, tight fairway. The 4 iron in hand, all set up on the tee, I’VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO HIT A 4 IRON!! I fired a beautiful, perfectly flighted ball straight down the middle, touching down at what I estimate with a laser to be 210 yard carry! Fluke shot perhaps. Wrong! I was playing these irons better than I had ever played before. My hybrids are no longer needed! *my previous iron set was only a 7-GW set, because I’ve never been able to play long irons. I’m a mid to high handicap, so I was hesitant on buying these irons. For the reviews and the price, I went for it. I’m glad I did. My very old irons I hit longer and less loft. After a couple rounds and I’m starting to get used to these irons. Slightly less distance, but more loft and more accurate. Plus, they are good looking clubs. ... show more
