What's the difference between these Solla NiMH batteries and the NiCD batteries? Tenergy's Solla NiMH batteries can last up to 5 years compared to NiCD batteries. Nickle cadmium batteries are often less expensive, are better in warmer conditions, but generally have 2 years life span in comparison. What is mAh? Can I still use these batteries which have a higher mAh if my current battery is less? Milliampere-hour is a measurement of energy capacity held by a battery. You can use a higher mAh to replace a lower mAh with no issue. Are these batteries ready to use out of the box? Yes, they are pre-charged and can be used when first received. If they appear to not work out of the box, please contact Tenergy support for replacement or support. How come these batteries don't work after a day or 2? If the batteries work the first night when first inserted and not afterwards, it's possible the solar panel may require some cleaning or energy is not being generated. Try moving the solar garden light into a sunny location and wiping the panel. Why does by solar garden lights appear dimmer with these batteries? Some solar garden lights are powered by LiFePO4 chemistry which are 3.2 volts instead of NiMH or NiCd which has 1.2 volts.
