I had one of these Tempur-Pedic pillows around 20-years ago and liked it, but switched to down pillows for some reason, and have been through many other types of pillows over the years. I have been waking up with neck pain and headaches for a long time. While the pillows I have feel comfortable when I go to sleep, they are not supportive while I sleep! Trying to save a few bucks, I ordered some other funky off-brand ergo pillow here, and it did not work for me. I ordered the medium Tempur-Pedic neck pillow, and it has done the trick! Neck is supported. No pain, no headaches. It just takes a minute or two when getting ready to sleep to get situated. I expect I will get that figured out. I'm just happy to wake up without my neck in knots! Before purchasing, I read many, many reviews. I saw a number of people complain that this pillow is "small". When you put it next to a standard pillow, yes, it is! But really, how much pillow does your head need? This pillow has plenty of room to lay on your back and turn side to side. I also saw people complaining about not being able to fit a regular pillowcase on it. Why? It has a comfortable washable, removable case. If it doesn't fit your decor, throw it in a closet during the day. Also yes, it is firm. But that is the point. The comfy mushy pillows won't support your neck. I highly recommend this pillow vs. the knockoffs. It keeps your neck more stable and supported while you sleep. ... show more

Great firm pillow for cervical support. It is very important though that you measure the length of your neck from the base of your spine to the start of your shoulders and select the appropriate pillow size for you. I have spent a couple hundreds trying different pillows that provide cervical support and this one is the best by far. I have used the Tempurpedic symphony pillow for years and it is great. I read a review (not from Tempurpedic) that the this neck pillow provided an angle that would help back sleeping snoring. I have three of these now and I've had the first one since the late 1990's. I've purchased multiple since I need to have one for another location and one for travel. Make sure you get the right size or the pillow might not be so comfortable -- probably a smaller size than you think.

I am a back sleeper, very still and never move all night. The pillow is small (side to side) but works for me. I have the SAME version of this pillow, but it is older. My older one feels more gooey/dough like and my neck almost instantly molds to the old pillow compressing it very little. The newer version does not react as quickly to compress the foam and the foam is stiffer and firmer, not gooey/dough like so my head does rest a bit higher on this new one. Old foam Vs new foam is a completely different foam. +++What I love about this pillow is the SHAPE of it. This is what provides relief for my neck. If you happen to look at any contour pillows, they all market them as having 2 sides you can use. A 3.5" and a 4.3" are the typical measurements for those contour bumps. BUT if you want to use the 3.5" side, the other higher side still keeps your head up too high pushing your chin into your neck. The center slope is not low enough either. I consider that a major design flaw that they used in a way to market it to more people, large or small. It does not work for smaller people. Temperpedic has designed these CORRECTLY so you pick your own size pillow!! Small, medium, or large. These are the sizes of the contour bump heights, NOT the size/width of the pillow! I LOVE the design of this pillow, it is perfect for me having only one smaller contour and the other end flat. My chin is NOT pushed into my neck. Just a bit too firm, but not skin numbing firm. Not sure if I will keep it or not just yet. For side sleeping, this pillow's shape works for me too. My shoulders are not broad and my mattress is extremely soft so my shoulders do sink more into my mattress so a high pillow is not required for me for side sleeping. Again though, the pillow is a bit too firm and does not mold to my head/neck nearly as much as my old original Tempurpedic pillow does. I may try to heat it with a hair dryer or put it in the dryer first to see if that does anything for it before using it next. I wished they offered this in different densities. ... show more

This is my third one that I’ve had over the years. Eventually, the memory phone begins to lose its support, but they do last a long time. The previous travel Tempur-pedic pillow I had came in a little zipper bag so you could roll it up and travel with it. Unfortunately, this didn’t come with anything like that. I don’t think I’ve ever written a review before, but for this I had to. It took me so long trying to find a pillow, reading all the reviews and how some people love them and some people hate the exact same one. After doing some research I’ve come to realize that people that sleep on back or side will LOVE this pillow. People that sleep on their stomach should opt for something with a bit more give. Now I will let you know honestly, when I first got this thing I thought there was no way I would sleep on it. It was the most firm pillow I’ve ever laid my head on. But since I have had horrible neck and shoulder pain for years now, I knew I had to try something new. I didn’t even want to, that’s the funniest part! So I sucked it up and used it last night and wow. The support it gives to side and back sleepers is out of this world. My neck pain is gone with just one use. I am pretty amazed, can’t even believe it. But I just needed someone to read this that is wondering if they should buy it. If you’re a side or back sleeper, YES!
