  • Just Amazing!
This is one of my favorite series and I was very excited to read about Trent and Rowan. Trent and Rowan have known each other since they were 16 but after one night together, Rowan ran away from the guy that she truly loved. Five years later, Trent wants her back (technically he never stopped wanting her) and he will stop at nothing to get her back. But Rowan feels that if Trent finds out about a secret that she has been holding then he will disappear from her life forever. But she gives in to him because how could she not? It's Trent the only guy she will forever want. Rowan still has her doubts but with Trent she has come out of her shell and can be free. But their relationship is not without some bumps and when Trent finds out the secret, it seems that everything will change. I was so enamored with this book from the first page. I felt for Rowan with all that she had to go through especially at her age. She was a strong woman and I admired her for that. Trent was amazing-I loved him. He had the bad-boy look but he was a total sweetheart. Their chemistry was off the charts and you could tell that they had strong love for each other. They were incredible together and it hurt me when their relationship hit a rough patch. My heart almost stopped at a certain part near the end and I was almost in tears but I'm happy to report that it all ends well. Trace and Olivia are in the book and I was so happy to see how everything turned out for them. I loved everything about this book-the writing, the characters, the storyline. It was all wonderful. This is a spectacular book that you will enjoy! Amazing read! ... show more

  • Review from Abibliophobia Anonymous Book Reviews
This is the third book in this series. This can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend you read them in order. I have loved all three books! Micalea Smeltzer is now on my automatic read list. All three of these books will have your eyes leaking and you will love all the characters, I promise. The first two books were about Trace and Olivia. This is about Trent, Trace’s younger brother, and Rowan. It starts around two years after Chasing Olivia ends. Rowan Sinclair is a twenty-one year old college student. She’s not a normal twenty-one year old. All she does is go to class, work, study, and take care of her two younger siblings. Her mom is an abusive alcoholic. She has no clue who her father is, and her stepdad is a handsy creep! She does a great job taking care of Ivy and Tristan. She doesn’t love herself though. The years of verbal abuse from her mom has caused her to think she really is every bad thing her mom has called her. Plus the secrets she carries weigh her down with guilt. She can’t tell them though. Trent Wentworth has been in love with Rowan since they were sixteen. Now he is going to make her see that she is it for him and always will be. He will break down her walls. “I don’t’ care what you say, I know you feel whatever this is that we have. Don’t think for a minute that I haven’t noticed the way your breath falters when I get too close or how your eyes flash with desire. I definitely can’t forget the way you responded to me last night. You can’t deny that you liked it when I kissed you.” I was worried when her big secret came out, and even more worried at the very end. At least until I read the epilogue. This is a great read! ... show more

  • Great read!!!
4.5 stars. This was a great book. I have not read any of the other books in this series, but it did not seem to take anything away from the story. Rowan is one strong woman. She has been through a lot, and just keeps going. The way she is with her siblings is amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. Trent... you can literally feel the love he has for Rowan rolling off him. There is definitely angst in this book regarding Rowan's secret. So much so that on several occasions I desperately wanted to skim ahead and find out what it was. It is such an integral part of this story, it's hard not knowing 100% what it is. I did have my suspicions though. All is finally revealed around the 70% mark. Things got better and worse for Rowan once it was all out there. I don't blame her feelings when it came to her mom, she justifiably felt that way. Trace was great in this book. He definitely stepped up when Rowan, Tristan, and Lily needed him. He filled in when Trent was not quite ready to. There are twists and turns (especially at the end) in this book that will have your emotions going haywire. I can not wait for the next book, and I am going to go back and read the first two books in this series. ... show more

  • Best Book I've Read All Year
Now, I’ll be honest here and admit that I was a little disappointed when I found out that the 3rd book in the Trace + Olivia series focuses on Trace’s younger brother, Trent, and his love interest, a college student named Rowan. Boy did that disappointment go away fast! Trent and Rowan’s story was so addictive, so heartbreaking, so emotionally jarring that I even cried. (And a book hasn’t made me cry in over five years.) Don’t tell Trace and Olivia this, but I actually think Trent and Rowan are my favorite characters from the books in this series that I have read so far. There is just something so different, so unique, so captivating about their story in particular - it is unlike anything I have ever read before. Trenton is a character who is very easy to fall in love with, and Rowan is a character who is very easy to connect with. Together, they are just magic. Honesty, I believe this is a five-star novel, because it is the best book I have read all year. I laughed, I cried… No, I wept. And I only wish that it could have gone on forever, so the story would never end. If you have a TBR pile, put Tempting Rowan at the top of it ; ) ... show more
