I really like this ladder a lot and only give it 4 stars because the description says it has 'one button retraction' but it does not. You actually have to push 4 buttons and be careful not to get your fingers caught between the steps. Pros: Lightweight. I recently broke a rib on my right side but can still carry this thing one handed with my left hand. Works in steps. You can retract one side only using the included brace for stabilization and then use this on a step. (see my photos) Easy to expand and retract. There is a video on YouTube showing exactly how to use this ladder. The link to it is in the instructions. Cons: Not a single button retraction as stated in the ad. You actually have to push for separate buttons that are on each side of the front and back of the ladder steps. It's not a big deal but the ad should not say one button retraction when there's actually four because the directions on that are not super clear since they are in Chinese and then translated to english. The strap that is on it to carry it with is velcro which can easily come apart and create a problem. There is an included bucket strap in the packing material and I don't understand why they didn't just put that on in the first place. There is also a screwdriver included which I use to disconnect the original strap and install the buckle strap. (see my photos) All in all, This is a very good ladder and I am quite happy with my purchase. I used it a lot this weekend to accomplish some household task. I have other large aluminum ladders for outdoors but this one is nice because I can tuck it into my pantry because of its small form factor when retracted. We have gone so long without a ladder. We always borrowed one from someone and I had seen a similar ladder that I had been eyeing up. This ladder helped me be able to reach our dead bathroom fan so I could change it out. It doesn't take up much space and is easy to take back down again. As far as sturdiness goes, it can be a little wobbly, but I feel as if it would collapse or give out from my weight. If you're looking for an outside ladder you may run into issues with it not reaching as high as others out there. This one has been great for projects around the house. I do like the fact this ladder is nice and compact and can be stored away without taking up too much space. It will definitely suit the needs of a homeowner wanting to change out a light bulb every now and then. It is easy to extend the ladder and seems pretty sturdy on a flat surface. I do have an issue with the tread angle which slope inwards and feel a bit awkward while climbing the ladder. Folding this ladder up is also a bit of a challenge and itโ€™s definitely not a one button release but more like a hot potato game to push all 4 buttons and avoid getting caught with it dropping down. With all the flaws in the design I think this ladder serves a need for someone that need a ladder around the house but not every day unless you want to keep it extended. ... show more

I was drawn to this ladder for its compact size when collapsed. It takes up much less space than a typical ladder of its size when extended. The telescoping mechanisms work pretty good. To collapse them, you have to press a button or latch for each step which is kind of annoying. Also, take care not to smash your fingers as the step will come down quickly. It's not OSHA-approved or anything like that, but it should be a good enough ladder for around the house. ... show more
