This is an incredible ladder! The design is very unique and it's very easy to carry. The ladder extends layer by layer, getting longer as you pull it up. However, be careful when retracting it; you need to press both sides simultaneously for it to retract downwards. It was a little scary the first time because we didn't follow the instructions properly. We really like this ladder; it makes it much easier for us to get into the attic. Because it has hooks to secure it at the top, it's very safe to use.

Please, Do Not Buy! I guess this ladder is a throw of the dice. Will I live or will I die? Your choice. I thought this ladder was pretty cool the two times I used it. Sure if it isn’t fully extended you should be able to get the excess at either the bottom or top. That is if all works as the company promises. But my experience is the locks have now failed after four climbs up and down. Female 5’4” 135lbs. I can’t lock in the height so any movement as one tends to do when climbing and gripping sides will result in a rung fallen in on itself like a house of cards one after the other. I can find no instructions or logical mechanism to get the clips to engage a locked setting. Even though the weight seems reasonable the width and distribution of weight make it most unwieldily. I purchased this in late March of this year, 7.5 months ago. i will reach out to the seller, then Amazon and if that fails my credit card company will do a charge back. The Russian Roulette of this product is simply unacceptable. Hey Jeff are you only doing quality control on silicon implants? There used to be some integrity in your marketplace. Now it’s a freakin’ Wet Market.
