I weight 257lb and the ladder proved to be stable and useful. I don't use it much but when I needed, it's really handy. 1 Year Later --------------------------- I haven't used it a lot, though it does get banged around some in my truck bed. However, that's not a reason for the buttons on the ladder, that allow you to collapse it, to simply fall out. That makes it a lot harder to collapse, and makes me wonder what else they skimped on.     • 16” spacing on ladder rungs too much
I had to return this ladder because of the non standard spacing of the ladder rungs. This ladder had 16” spacing, the ANSI standard spacing is 12”. I didn’t feel safe using it as I was always having to search for a step. Otherwise the ladder seemed to be very sturdy and well made.

    • Heavy for its size, and long rung spacing.
While this ladder is compact it is heavy, extending the ladder is somewhat easy, but the spacing between the rungs is quite large, not as easy to climb as a normal ladder. Once extended the ladder feels sturdy depending on the if you extend from the top as one might do, it makes all the excess rungs (at the bottom) way too high to step up to. So the best way to get it into an attic opening is to start from the bottom & have the extending rungs at the top. This ladder is much easier to maneuver than a standard extension ladder, or even one of those gorilla ladders. To use this to access an attic crawl space, you probably have to use a standard ladder to remove the cover then feed the extension ladder into the opening.     • Rungs too far apart
I bought this ladder because a 3rd Party website (bobvilla.com) ranked this brand #1 for quality and stability. And it was not good quality nor stability. I’ve worked with many other telescopic ladders, and this one was the most flimsy and flexible, and because the bouncing-flex it had, that would cause the ladder to lose stability. The worst thing about the ladder is the distance between rungs, it’s almost twice the distance of any other ladder, making each ascend/descend strenuous and hazardous. Would not recommend this ladder as there are better options for the same style of ladder. ... show more
