Style: Quick-Release

Size: 3-Piece (1/4 in., 3/8 in., 1/2 in.)

Features

  • Includes 3-pc. quick-release ratchets: 1/4 in. drive x 6 in., 3/8 in. drive x 8 in., 1/2 in. drive x 10.5 in.
  • 90-tooth gear produces a working swing arc of just 4 degrees
  • Unlike conventional "low profile" designs that focus on controlling only the thickness of the head, we reduced the size in every dimension: height, width, and length
  • Quick-release drive tang locks securely on to sockets so they won't accidentally fall off
  • Biased drive direction switch ensures the ratchet gear is engaged at all times, preventing slips or free-wheeling

Description

With a 90-tooth gear that produces a working swing arc of just 4 degrees, Tekton ratchets don't need much room to operate. Smaller than "low profile", their ultra-compact heads are reduced in every dimension—height, width, and length—allowing them to slip into tighter spaces than other ratchets. The polished exterior has a chrome plated finish that's corrosion-resistant and easy to wipe clean.

  • Very satisfied w/ purchase
Style: Flex Head Quick-Release Size: 4-Piece (1/4 in., 3/8 in., 1/2 in.)
Based on a friends recommendation, replaced newer non-US made clunky junk Craftsman ratchets I found myself cussing at more than one should. Ratcheting mechanism has good feel overall, and shape/finish has a good feel in hand. Solid tool and confidence inspiring. This is my first experience w/ a fine tooth mechanism and have found it immensely beneficial in tight spaces. Never knew what I was missing out on. I purchased the quick release set but not sure that I needed to...just what I was used to. If I had it to do over I may have passed on this ‘feature’. I hadnt heard of Tekton before my friend recommended these ratchets to me, but after using these for a few months and how satisfied I am w/ them, Ive found myself looking at other tools they offer. One other thing - online reviews note the exchange process for these is straightforward w/ no bs hurdles in the event a problem does arise, which was not the case for many Gearwrench reviews I saw when I was comparing the two. Not that I think I’ll be needing to take advantage of this anytime in the foreseeable future, but nice to think there wont be a hassle if needed. ... show more

  • Made me realize that all my older craftsman ratchets are inferior.
Style: Non-Quick-Release Size: 2-Piece (1/4 in., 3/8 in.)
I dont remember exactly why I decided that I needed to buy a couple of stubby ratchets but I'm glad that I did. They will likely cost me more money, now that I realize how not so good my other older ratchets are. I mean these are by no means, a top dollar ratchet, but they are way more smooth than my old craftsman ratchets were. I also didn't realize until owning these, how more teeth made them feel when using them. I'm happy with my purchase and feel like I got a good value for my money. ... show more

  • Seems ok
Style: Flex Head Non-Quick-Release Size: 4-Piece (1/4 in., 3/8 in., 1/2 in.)
Better then most junk… love the 3/8 stubby tho. Time will tell if it’s good or not tho. Seem smooth and doesn’t hang up. Very low profile and adjustable for most them. For home garage fun they seem more then worth it and good warranty from what I hear. My snapon stiff at work is yes better but triple the price. Better then the craftsman just Iv been using is all I’m saying. ... show more

  • Flex rachets.
Style: Flex Head Non-Quick-Release Size: 3-Piece (1/4 in., 3/8 in., 1/2 in.)
These are very good flex rachets, these help a lot.

  • Excellent Value and Quality!
Style: Flex Head Non-Quick-Release Size: 4-Piece (1/4 in., 3/8 in., 1/2 in.)
First things first: These are really nice quality tools. Don't tell Tekton, but they could charge more for these. Comparable initial quality to the 'premium' brand ratchets that I already own (which cost 2x-3x more, including some of your fave tool truck and boutique brands). They feel substantial yet well balanced. The flex heads seem to click nice and firm to their detent positions- of course time will tell, but I don't think they will get floppy. They appear nicely made and finished- no burrs, even finish that wipes clean. Remind me of Williams brand (Snap-On Industrial brand) ratchets in terms of build, but these actually have higher tooth count so are a little more functional due to the smaller arc needed versus the older 36 tooth design. Noteworthy: I reached out to Tekton online customer care with some tool questions and received a response that was prompt and very helpful. I called customer care on the phone and was equally impressed. I suspect that is how they conduct business, and they left me feeling confident that Tekton will stand behind their products. Extra commentary: Although not all of Tekton's products are made in the USA, many are made here and they are a US company. I can hear my dad's voice in my head telling me to 'always buy US or German -made tools'. I think he would approve. When the time comes for my kids to move out and start filling their own tool boxes, I can see this ratchet set being a good place to start wrenching on cars (along with a master set of impact sockets and ratcheting wrenches). ... show more

  • Quality product
Style: Flex Head Non-Quick-Release Size: 4-Piece (1/4 in., 3/8 in., 1/2 in.)
I liked the gear wrench 120xp better for the similar price only reason not a higher review. Tekton set is quality would have considered keeping if stubby 3/8 was a flex head

  • The half inch wrench broke at first use!
Style: Flex Head Quick-Release Size: 4-Piece (1/4 in., 3/8 in., 1/2 in.)
I needed a set of flex head ratchet and I saw these on Amazon and they look like they were pretty sturdy tech ton I thought had a pretty good reputation so I bought the four piece ratchet set I got the ratchet set and plenty of time was working out of my Ford Ranger and the half inch broke. So I took them back and I needed to get a new set and now they work ... show more
