I recently took my formerly feral cat to the vet for a checkup as she has a food allergy (ALL cat food, even hydrolized protein) and I half to give her prednisolone every other day. The vet pointed out that she also has severe tartar on her teeth, in spite of being fed half Science Diet Oral care and half regular cat food. She had also just started drooling fairly heavily and her tongue would often be sticking out of her mouth. I asked the vet for an estimate to clean her teeth and it came to almost $2000, which unfortunately, just can’t afford. So I bought a toothbrush and toothpaste (for cats) and this colloidal nano silver spray. She HATES the toothbrush and toothpaste and won’t let me near her when she sees me with it. And she was pretty freaked out (bu the noise and sudden burst of spray) when I first sprayed this into her mouth, but within an hour, her drooling was dramatically reduced and she could pull her tongue back into her mouth. After the second time (a couple of days later), her drooling ceased and she doesn’t stick out her tongue anymore. I now spray every few days and while she doesn’t love it, she’s much more tolerant and even lets me do a squirt in the front. I think it’s only the sound and suddenness that freaks her out. It would be really nice if they could change the sprayer device to spray more uniformly. As it is, you have to press the sprayer rather firmly (with one hand, mind you) and nothing happens until it finally lets go a sudden strong burst of spray. I totally get why it freaks out my kitty. If it weren’t for the awkward sprayer, I’d give it 5 stars. I’m going to try it in her water, but am worried that she won’t drink it. We’ll see.

It seems good but my cat will not let me spray it in her mouth. I put it in a dropper and its hard to have it get all over her mouth. I feel i need to work on getting her to let me spray it in her mouth.
