My dogs do not drink water so had to mix with water and nightly syringe their teeth. They don’t mind much about it but hated brushing.

My old peke has HORRID breath, which the vet has attributed to dental issues. Sadly, due to underlying health issues, she cannot be put under anesthesia for a cleaning. She is also adamant that her teeth not be brushed (The dog, not the vet). I have tried many water additives, but this is the first one that seems that it might be making an improvement. Chu drinks a ton of water, and since the amount of TEEF added to her water is so small, she doesn’t detect it. It is one tiny scoop a day added to the fresh water bowl. And we have the added benefit of the other peke having it also. Chu’s breath now seems to be only terrible, and not horrible. We will continue to use it daily and hope for continuing improvement.

Great for keeping my dog's dental hygiene! It's super easy to dissolve as you just take a tiny little scoop of it (probably the size of your pinky nail) and mix it around in their water. Time will tell of how effective they are, so I'll try to update this review if I don't notice any changes. The container bottle provided is reusable, which is a great alternative to constantly using more plastic packaging. The container bottle is made of glass and they provide the little scooper too. I like that you just need to buy refills for the powder. My dogs also don't seem to mind that I added this too their water, so no noticeable smell or odor either.

I appreciate the reusable container that this came with. I just started using it in my dogs' water so I'm really not sure of the effectiveness as of now. My dogs don't mind the taste, if there is any, because they are still drinking their water. Hopefully, I see improvements to their dental health soon.

It's difficult to get my dogs to hold still for teeth brushing so we usually have our groomer do it while they are getting their nails trimmed, but unfortunately that's only once a month and its not really enough. Our vet suggested a water additive for in between visits since they were still experiencing some dental issues and tarter buildup. My dogs normally WILL NOT drink water with a dental additive, we tride tons of different ones and they refuse. They don't seem to notice this one's in there at all and are drinking normally, so that's already a huge positive for this product. It's still a little too early to tell how well it's working but I'm feeling pretty positive about it.

Do all dogs have teeth issues like mine? I swear they get more dental treatment than I do, and anything I can do to prevent that kind of misery for them is much appreciated. Years ago my vet recommended a dental additive to my pup's water, but she wasn't having it. It was made differently than the TEEF for Life Protektin42 Plant-Derived Dental Water Additive. The one years ago was straight up chemicals and I had two dogs refuse that water with minimal additive in it. Then we moved into plant-based preventative treatments, with which I've had better success. The Teef for Life follows that same basic principle of inside-out treatment, and I'm hoping over the long run we'll see some good results. Good quality here! And as someone who's made slurry for their nearly toothless pup, I can tell you that the investment now will pay off later many times over. Really happy!
