This shelf is very sturdy! It's a touch clunky installing since you have cage nuts on the front, the back, and screws in the middle tying it all together; however, once it's mounted, it's rock solid. It does take up a full rack unit, so keep that i mind when calculating space in a rack needed.

Supports don’t handle the rated value. I put a 25 pound amplifier on this shelf and it quickly bent. I’m going to jury rig a bar under it to support modest weights. This has a big disappointment.

These are great shelves - sturdy and well made. I have a 4-post 24" deep rack and these are about 1 inch TOO DEEP; to me this meant I could not close the back door. Since I like these shelves more than the door, I'll be keeping them and the door will have to go. The side rails do form bumps on the side edges of the top surface which makes it more difficult to slide things front-to-back. Bonus was this was cheaper than the competition. ... show more

The 13.8 inch deep adjustable depth 1U vented rack shelf by Tecmojo is made in PRC (china). The shelf is sturdy, and will hold heavy stuff when properly mounted. The venting holes work, but the 13.8 inch is only half of the depth of the rack, so there is plenty of venting where there is no shelf. I would suggest the deepest version of this shelf for about $20 more to get the best value, as the 13.8 is too costly for me. 4 stars ... show more
