  • Assembly was a pain, but it's sturdy
Size: 20U with Casters
I got the 20U open frame rack from Tecmojo. This is the first rack I ever got or assembled. It came with one of those ikea style wrench to install the hex screws for the assembly of the frame. You need a screwdriver to install the shevles. I highly recommend a heavy duty electric screw driver. Installing the outer frame wasn't too complicated, but installing the top most shelf was a pain. I could not line up the top with the holes to screw/attached. It turns out the holes were slightly too small so I screwed through each hole without the stop shelf, took the screws out, and then was able to place the top shelf and screw in the holes. I was able to install the other shelves, but used an electric heavy duty screw driver. Overall, it seems very sturdy once everything was assembled. I even installed other shelves just fine. One issue I had was a patch panel. The screws that came with the patch panel were too big for this rack. Luckily, this rack came with extra screws to install the gear. The instructions could be clearer, but it wasn't too bad. I got the one with casters/wheels as I live in an apartment and can't wall mount this. I wanted the wheels so i can tinger with the back when needed. Inside of the box, it came with wall mounting screws and a cardboard template to mark the screws to wallmount. So it's advertised as 20U, but the top and bottom strut bars each cover 1U, so there's actually about 18U to install gear. It took me about 1.5 hours to assemble this by myself, but I added four other sheves and a patch panel. I added shelves to the back of the rack in antcipation of holding cables and power bricks. I might take them out if I don't end up needing them. ... show more

  • Great first equipment rack
Size: 12U with Casters
Solid construction, easy assembly. I appreciate the included shelves. It’s advertised as a 12U but there’s only 10 usable slots because of the top and bottom frame brackets. Not sure if this is a normal thing but something to keep in mind if you need more than 10U for your gear. The top is designed with an indented tray which prevented me from loading my printer with paper because it blocked the drawer from opening. I simply flipped the top panel around and gave myself a nice flat surface and it still seems sturdy enough. ... show more

  • Perfect movable rack.
Size: 16U with Casters
A+ rack, this thing is sturdy. Functionality-wise, it's perfect for a small peripheral if you don't have full blades. It was very easy to put together, and now I can have all my things in one place.

  • Good value for the price
Size: 12U with Casters
Been using this for a little while now, it’s holding all my servers and networking equipment without any noticeable flex, so it’s well built for the price range it’s in

  • Uses 10-32 screws.
Size: 20U with Casters
Decent rack but just be aware that it takes 10-32 screws and not 12-24.

  • Great build quality.
Size: 16U with Casters
Very well built rack for a fraction of the price of other brands. The product build quality is great and the finish is good as well. It came with all the hardware as well a couple of rack shelves as well which is a bonus. I've been using this in my home office for almost 6 months now and I've had no issue at all. I recommend this rack for anyone that needs one. ... show more

  • OK For the Money
Size: 12U with Casters
I got this as a Black Friday deal, which meant it was a lot less expensive than most of the 12U racks I was looking at. So I was willing to put up with a few compromises. And there are a few compromises involved with this rack, but nothing I can’t work with. That said, my use case is pretty simple. I’m looking to organize a surge protector/PDU, a 24-port switch, and a couple desktop NAS boxes. So all I really need is a few U of rack space and a couple shelves. This rack will provide that, sort of. The “sort of” aspect is that it’s not really a 12U rack because of the way that the frame fits together at the top and bottom. It looks to me like it’s maybe 10U of usable space. I should be able to live with that, but if I were doing it again I might buy the next size up. Unlike most racks I’ve used, this one has threaded holes rather than the more traditional square openings. The manufacturer supplies a bag of 10-32 bolts to install things, so I guess it’s all good. Interestingly, the sides of the frame have square openings. So it might be possible to rotate the frame 90 degrees and use the traditional spring nuts for installation. I wasn’t sufficiently curious to try this out. Anyway, the rack feels solid and should meet my needs easily. I’ll be putting the PDU at the top, with the switch right below it, and then the shelves. One quick note about assembly. If you’re a tool nerd like me, grab a 4mm hex bit for your power screwdriver, and maybe another one for a hand driver to get the screws started. There are also a number of Phillips head screws, so you’ll need a good #2 screwdriver (or bit). Some commenters said they experienced cross-threaded holes, but I didn’t find any; everything went together easily, although I wouldn’t want to assemble this with the cheesy little Allen wrench that the manufacturer supplies. ... show more

Perfect for 2 or 3 Eco Worthy 48 Volt 100 amp server rack, batteries, they fit like it was a custom made rack for 2- 51 volt 100 Amp batteries . It’s sturdy and strong with caster wheels. The batteries fit with little space to spare.
