This arrived nicely packed to prevent damage from shipping. Assembly wasn’t horrible but did take longer than I thought it would. Make note of where the washers go. The visual guide doesn’t tell you when to put those on, it just has them in place before the next step. Once it’s assembled the action is not smooth. When you loosen the wing nuts the upper piece of wood tends to get ‘stuck’ at an angle unless you are very evenly lifting it. You’ll get used to it. It lists being a little over 11” on the long side but your item has to fit in between the screws so you have around7.5 to 8 inches in reality. I have used this to make some homemade note pads attached to a magnet for the refrigerator. The height of your item needs to be more than the height of the bolts on the bottom piece of wood. I had to grab a spare piece of wood to put under that project to get the correct height. Otherwise it worked great. Got everything in place, applied glue and a topping bit of paper and let it sit pressed for two days. My second project was using it to put pressure on two broken wood bits. They were even enough to fit nicely in there once glue was applied. Also a win! I’ll be making more pads and small items with this in the future. While it’s not perfect, it is great for the price.

Nice even pressure for my book binding projects. Super easy to put together and to use. A good size for standard books, but if you want to bind something larger like the size of a comic book you would need a bigger press. Works well!

This works very well! It is a bit of a hassle to try to get the board to be level on the screws, and it is not the biggest book press. I tried to rebind a Bible, but the screws got in the way and it wouldn’t fit. (It wasn’t a particularly large Bible).

I got this to straighten out books that my 4 year old constantly messes up. It's super simple and intuitive. You just put the book in and tighten the wing nuts evenly untill the book is sufficiently tight. Leave it in there overnight or so, and all of the bent pages will be straightened out. It works like a charm. Assembly is pretty easy. If you follow the pictures you'll be able to do it no problem. Nice tool to have on hand.
