I bought this to try to look for screws and nails. I could not find any in the areas that were know to have some. I had it set for all metals, with no luck. However you can find soda cans and large pieces of metal trash with this.

Really surprised it works so well considering the price! We bought it to locate metal row markers at the cemetery, and though the markers have sunken 4-5 inches into the ground, it locates them easily and quickly!
