I recently purchased a new computer, as my former computer (a HP business laptop) had turned 15 years old. I decided that I didn't need a laptop any more, so I decided to go with a desktop. At the time of purchase, I was able to buy a computer with a discount through the PCs for People program, so I only paid $20 for the entire setup. I ended up with a Dell micro-SFF computer, which is a little smaller than a contemporary Blu-ray player! The only downside was it came with only 8GB of memory. I waited until I could afford more memory and searched to see what would be the best price/performance combination. I liked the stats on the TEAMGROUP Elite DDR4 32GB Kit, which consisted of two 16GB DDR4 memory sticks, so I ordered it. Installation was a snap--it took unscrewing a single screw and removing the fan/cover that was over the memory stick socket location. Popping them in was as simple as removing the single 8GB stick the computer came with. The performance improvement was immediately obvious. The computer ran much faster and tasks completed more quickly than before. My computer wasn't as fast as it could be, but it was faster. (That's because the computer was shipped with the wrong power supply. That will be a separate review.) Pros: Easy to install. Quality build. Cons: None that I have found as of yet. TEAMGROUP may not be a big name in the world of computer memory but I have found it to be a company where you can find quality computer components for a reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to buy for them again. Give them a try.

These installed easy-peasy into my MSI GF66 gaming laptop, booted right up, and I set it to working on current version of MemTest86+ overnight. Ran for almost 12 hours, completed 8 passes, and no errors. I know there are occasionally duds with all brands memory sticks, but mine were flawless!

This memory has served me well so far, it made my system faster since I went from 16GB to 40 GB. As browsers tend to eat memory and windows likes to pre-allocate memory. The system booted into windows in 10 seconds from spinning dots to login screen. These chips are actually DUAL-RANK for its price is a great deal. My old system ram from Samsung is SINGLE-RANK and that does do a hit on performance. This memory is worth upgrading to if you have a gaming laptop you will notice a difference. Pros: Decent Price Good latency Dual-Rank Stable Cons: None so far Final Thoughts: Memory cost is going up so get it as soon as possible. Computer: ASUS ROG STRIX SCAR 15.
