I got around 40MB/sec write speed and 105MB/sec read speed confirmed by H2TESTW with a total capacity of 119274MByte which is exactly what is on the spec sheet. This is pretty slow by modern standards and the drive being advertised as USB 3.2 is a bit of a stretch considering its write speed is still within USB 2.0 specs and read speed is only about double USB 2.0. But, the fact is they give the right specs, and the price is right so it's a great device for the money & perfect for storing small files or installing operating systems which is what I'm using them for. You have to be careful when buying USB thumb drives on Amazon or eBay because many of them are counterfeit that report as the size you purchased but the performance will be so slow it's almost unusable and the capacity will only be about 8GB and everything after that will get corrupted when you try to read it back even though the write will succeed. I recommend using a program called H2TESTW to test your thumb drives because it shows you the speeds and tests every sector on the device and verifies it can recall them all afterward. Also, it doesn't retain fingerprints, but the cap does since it's not the same texture as the body for some reason beyond my comprehension. But, it's still way cheaper and smaller than buying 16 blank DVD's so it's perfect for what I needed them for. No need to use a 512GB USB 3.1 NVME SSD just to install an OS or carry around some movies, games, pics, etc. Unless you need something super high speed for your application these will work just fine. ... show more

I got these in a twofer deal. I need to have portable production music with me a lot of the time and these USBs hold a lot of files. I have one for outlines and graphics too. The order arrived on time and they work. I have no idea how they will hold up. At this point things are good. Some time ago I got a twofer of 64gb Patriot drives. The cases said they were 64gb. Good price for 5 pack and quality of construction is fine. Read performance using a gen 2 port on multiple PCs exceeded the 100MB spec (121 MB/sec) for the Q32T1 test in CrystalDiskMark. Write performance was 97MB. All other tests were far worse and varied with the PC used (could be variations in the MB implementation). At this performance about 18 minutes to write 128G. Gen 1 port equally fast as expected since this is a gen 1 device. An older SSD by comparison is almost 5 times faster. ... show more
