Item is as if purchased from T-Mobile. No instructions, but they can be found online. I added a T-mobile sim and tested its connectivity. Takes about a minute to boot from plugged in to USB. Oddke the usb cable that cane in the box does not function with the device. It is a USB A to micro USB B. This device uses a USB C cable, so expect using your existing USB C to USB C cable or obtaining a replacement. Everything functions as expexted on web setup. If you are familiar withT-Mobile, the web interface login and feel are justlike a gateway device. For being slim and light weight, it gets a pretty good signal around in the mountains. Great deal the item arrived quickly. This is a fantastic device, you literally plug it in to anything that has a usb c port and ¡voila! you’re connected to the internet, no set up. It’s great for travel because there’s no battery and it’s very small. I recommend getting a short usb c cable as well.

So far so good. Works as intended. The only issue I have with it is that it does take a while to connect and does sometimes disconnect (probably due to reception issues but the reconnection takes a bit of time too from my perception) so that's why it four stars. Bought this TCL LINKPORT IK511 renewed from Amazon at half the price of new from T-Mobile. It came in a brown box with a cable and an old sim card but no instructions. It was easy to find instructions online and a new sim from T-mobile was only $10 delivered including activation that was easy to do without any help. Once activated it is plug and play. So far it seems to do the job at home in an area of good T-mo coverage and I hope it will well work for me away from home and during my travels. ... show more
