My other tv is an older LG OLED. It still looks good, but my TV room is bright during the day and the images just looked too dim for me, even after cranking up the brightness, etc. For the same price, I was able to get this MUCH larger tv. It often performs as well as the oled, with truly black blacks, but I can just barely see some blooming once in a while if I try hard (and only in very specific scenes). Otherwise, the picture quality is great. I love that I have easy brightness control on the remote and that it lights up. It supports basically ALL the hdr modes and 3d audio formats. And the gaming mode works great when hooked up to my PC, with high (and variable) refresh rates plus negligible lag. Finally, GoogleTV is definitely a plus for me. I think this is my favorite interface for interacting with a smart tv (and I’ve used Roku, AppleTV, and LGs webOS interface). ... show more

I was was excited for this TV but came to discover that by design, you are forced to watch ads (they try to sell as "recomendations" and horribly invasive privacy settings). If this was just a couple of hundred dollars that might be expected but at 2000 this is totally unacceptable. Right off the bat, setting up this TV was super frustrating as you are forced to create a google account, the days of just being able to turn on and use your TV are over if you go with TCL apparently. I was willing to still give it a shot though because of all the hype and after being forced to make a google account I noticed all the settings were set to share your data by default unless you turn it off. Once again I was willing to take the time to turn off all the invasive data sharing and even found the "apps" only mode so you are not bombarded with ads or "recomendations" on the homescreen but here is the catch, if you enable apps only mode it disables google AI assistance, one of the main selling points of this TV! By design you are punished for turning ads off essentially. I talked to TCL support and they admitted this was by design and nothing that can be done about it despite having all the latest firmware and software versions. I know we could buy a third part user interface like apple TV, but once again at 2000 dollars (and more depending on the size you get) this is totally unnaceptable and we will be returning it. ... show more

Beautiful screen and surprisingly good sound. I’m replacing an older Sony Bravia and the new TCL LED technology is bright and crisp out of the box. Lots of settings can be adjusted and does Dolby Atmos with my Apple TV. Looks great with PS5 too.

Looks amazing, paired with TCL's surround soundbar it makes for the complete set up. Glad I went with this TV instead of an OLED since my TV faces 4 windows and the TV gets plenty bright during the day. The remote has a brightness button so it's easy to adjust if the ambient lighting isn't doing it for you. Usually at night I'll make it a smidge brighter depending on what I'm watching. Virtually no bleed or halo effect pretty darn crisp picture. Now I've been buying physical 4k movies to watch since they look so good and rewarching them what feels like the first time. The TCL Q85H soundbar works flawlessly with the TV. You can even make sooundbar adjustments through the TV's UI. Absolutely no regrets, would buy again. Word af advice if you're mounting this TV, get someone to help when it comes to hanging it, it's a heavy TV. While I'm strong enough to pick it up I'd have to put my hand directly on the screen and with the TV being as heavy as it is that much weight on the screen may break something. ... show more

TV works good. Product is described. Delivery was on time. I was home with the dog. She always barks at the slightest noise. The delivery person left the 65” TV. On the small cement porch. He or she didn’t knock. I got the Email it was delivered. I tried to bring the awkward, heavy box in myself. It was either that or babysit the package all day. Finally a nieghbor helped me bring it in. The delivery person could have knocked. If I wasn’t home. It would have sat on the porch all day. Very not happy with the delivery. Anything could have happened. As you can see the box is very precarious ... show more

I really researched to find something that would $$ wise be reasonable and give me a sense of quality that makes the investment worthwhile. And with Amazon making it easy to return if it didn’t work out gave me the confidence to pull the trigger. So far I’ve not been disappointed. I work in the media field professionally primarily in audio mixing audio for video/screen. This was pretty impressive. I have an 85” LG OLED for my professional use and this TCL is amazing. It was either this or the Sony Bravia. I saved some $$ going with TCL for the home. I added a full Sonos theater surround system for my satisfaction but was very impressed with the stock sound the TCL output. Great buy and solid investment. ******* ... show more
