  • Excellent tv and very smart!
Size: 65-inch
The picture quality on this TV is fantastic. It’s bright, sharp, and looks amazing in our living room. The setup was simple, and the Fire TV interface is really easy to navigate. One thing I didn’t fully realize before buying it is that it basically works like an Alexa. If you already have an Echo in the same room, they can both respond at the same time, which gets a little annoying. Fortunately, you can turn the TV’s Alexa voice activation off if you prefer. Other than that, I have zero complaints. Great picture, easy to use, and an excellent value for the money. ... show more

  • Impressive Value
Size: 65-inch
This is my first time buying this brand and I was extremely impressed, especially for the price. Great quality, gaming is smooth and visuals when watching tv and gaming are comparable to higher end brands. Audio is immersive with and without a soundbar. Very impressed. Tv is lightweight and remote backlight is extremely helpful. ... show more

  • Great value for money, superb picture quality
Size: 55-inch
I thought the TV was a great addition to my living room. The screen size was perfect for my TV console, and the color was extremely vivid and accurate to what I see in real life. I was able to control the brightness super well using the remote, overall this TV is great for its value. Would strongly recommend if you're looking for something within this price range! ... show more

  • Save Your Money!
Size: 55-inch
I was excited to get this TV during Prime Days. We typically use Samsung and love them, but thought we’d try this one. Worst mistake ever! Save your money. The only reason I gave 1 star is because I had to. And I suppose since the picture was good, that’s fine. The other positive was that UPS will come pick it up for free. But we only lasted 3 days with this tv. If you pause anything, the TV shuts down after maybe 2 minutes. Then you need to completely get back into the streaming service (like Netflix) to restart your show… you have to go find it again and get completely back into it. Then it buffers forever. The LiveTV is all over the place and not user friendly. We couldn’t find where all the free tv stations were. When watching the World Cup on Peacock, the tv would not keep up. Granted we don’t have super fast internet, but our old Samsung that could only connect to 2.4G kept up, where this newer TCL connecting at 5G did not keep up. The FireTV program is so slow. When we’d get into a show, we could hear it playing, but the screen was still spinning. Sometimes the AirPlay would not connect from our phones. It was also difficult to get into all the settings. When asking Alexa (on an actual device, not the remote) to help us… nothing it would recommend, even matched what was showing under settings. Everything about this purchase was frustrating, except the Return. Hopefully UPS actually shows up tomorrow to get this. We also had to get a new tv wall mount and drill new holes into my wall, all for nothing. I just ordered another Samsung and will likely never try another brand again. So much more user friendly than this TCL. ... show more

  • Premium TV at an Affordable Pricing
Size: 75-inch
After spending just a few days with the TCL 75QM64L, I am completely convinced that you no longer need to spend a fortune to get a top-tier TV. For years, people including myself had to choose between paying a massive premium for a big brand name or settling for a dull screen and laggy menus. This TV totally breaks that cycle, delivering a true movie-theater experience at a price that actually respects your budget. Picture Quality That Beats the Big Names The screen is where this TV really shines, easily going toe-to-toe with much more expensive models from Samsung and Sony. Thanks to the advanced Mini-LED backlighting, the contrast is incredible. When you turn off the lights for a movie, the blacks are deep and ink-like, completely avoiding that annoying, cloudy gray look of older screens. At the same time, the screen gets bright enough to fight off heavy glare in a sunny room. The gradient in dark movies really shine compared to my old TV with picture that looks like painting in dark scene. Whether you are watching a colorful sunset or a dark action scene, the colors look rich and natural without looking fake or overly bright. Big Sound and a Modern Look Most thin TVs have terrible sound, but the built-in audio system here actually surprised me. The sound is full and well-balanced, keeping dialogue crisp and easy to hear while still giving action scenes a nice, punchy kick. It won't completely replace a massive surround-sound setup, but it easily fills the room and sounds way better than the tinny speakers found on most TVs today. I might add a subwoofer to get more rumbling bass like a complete 7.1.4 soundbar from TCL that complements the TV later on. Visually, the TV looks like an expensive masterpiece in the living room. The frame around the screen is almost invisible, giving you a massive, edge-to-edge view with zero distractions. The body of the TV is also incredibly slim, meaning it looks sleek sitting on a media console or mounted flat against the wall. Fast, Simple Smart Software A great screen does not mean much if the software is frustrating to use. Luckily, the built-in Fire TV system is lightning-fast. Clicking through heavy streaming apps like Netflix or YouTube is smooth and responsive, without any of the freezing or stuttering you usually see on cheaper smart TVs. The home screen is easy to navigate, making it simple to find your favorite shows right away. Plus, the voice remote works perfectly, picking up commands instantly on the first try. The Bottom Line The best part about the TCL 75QM64L is how it makes you feel. It turns a regular family movie night into an actual event, taking away all the frustration of slow menus or a washed-out screen. It gives you the stunning visual power of a Sony or Samsung powerhouse while keeping your savings intact. If you want a truly premium 75-inch TV without paying for a fancy logo, this is an absolute home run. Photos to come when I have everything perfectly set up in the living room. I am debating if I should wall mount to replace my ancient 65” TV or just go table top mode. ... show more

  • Will not accept casting from another device!
Size: 55-inch
Installs easily with a beautiful picture and a lot of options. However, coordinating with my ring camera is a trial. When I've written a routine that is triggered by my ring camera to show it minimized on this television, it pops up on the screen and turns the TV off. I haven't been able to change that yet. I'm still working on it and will report back if I can succeed. It was also very hard to find a way to keep it from timing out after 5 minutes on pause. I finally managed to do that after hacking through all sorts of things, and I still don't know which one worked. The biggest disappointment is that there is no native casting function, so I had to add a Chromecast module to one of the HDMI ports. This is a major oversight and would have cost another star, except the rest of the television is so much better than anything I had before that I'm going to leave it at 4. ... show more

  • WOW. Amazing picture and super easy setup.
Size: 65-inch
I was a little reluctant to buy TCL. The reviews are not as positive as some of the name brands. The TCL set had the right set of options for me at a price that was hard to beat, so I decided to give it a whirl. The setup was so simple. I took it out of the box and mounted it on my old stand. Connected my devices and I was ready to go. This took less than 30 minutes. I pushed power, the set came on, and it began to do an update. (I had used an Ethernet cable instead of wifi) When that finished it asked if I wanted to scan for digital channels and had me choose some options (Alexa, apps, etc.) with simple yes/no/later choices. Done. Most of my apps were ported over, although I did need to sign in to them. The picture really grabs you. Super clear and easily viewed from an angle. I had a 55 inch set prior to this so the 65 was a nice step up. The integration with Amazon is great and the digital channel guide is clear and easy to use. The sound is great too. On my old set I really needed the sound bar. On the TCL I don't think I'll use it unless I'm watching a movie. About the only negatives I have seen so far is that you really need to focus the remote on the sensor. If you casually point it in the general direction it may not work. The manual also contains almost no useful information. So far I'm delighted with the purchase. ... show more
