  • Amazing for movies AND gaming!!
Size: 65 inches Style: TV only
Bought this TV for my bedroom and replaced a 4 year old 50inch samsung. TCL has got the best TV remotes and google is the best OS for smart TVs. The colors look very good on the TV and the blacks get very dark. Whites look awesome and TV gets very bright. Settings is easy to navigate. FOR GAMING, it has 120hz refresh rate which looks super good and helps me stay on top. the TVs built in gaming mode is very good, I started playing games before i set up gaming mode and got scared due to there being a large enough delay in the response from XBOX to TV. after putting on gaming mode, it was perfectly fine with good response time. Speakers in TV sound good for a TV but I have my own surround sound set up anyways. But for the average ear, speakers sound pretty solid. Finally putting it together was so easy, didn’t even need 2 people. VALUE FOR MONEY, it’s very very good for the money, I paid $700. If you are thinking, just pull the trigger. • Great TV thats easy to use
Size: 75 inches Style: TV only
I bought a Samsung S90D and returned it after it had connection issues in game mode. This TCL was $70 more, but the mini-LED looks better to me. There is a sort of blooming/halo effect that is common with mini-LED panels, and it's present here. However, it's easy to avoid if you can keep harsh or bright light from hitting the panel directly. Game mode is fantastic, the panel does 144Hz with no issues. Hooked up to a gaming PC, and I almost prefer it over my 165Hz monitor. Movies/sports look great. ARC works perfect with my AVR so no issues if you have a surround setup. Bluetooth is also very fast and pairs with my headphones quickly. Google TV is pretty good. I only have experience with Samsung smart TVs, but I enjoy the android/google TV software more. It does have some ads that feel intrusive, but the recommendations on the home screen and the customization is great. Bonus points for actually having an F1TV app unlike the Samsung. ... show more

  • So far so good
Size: 55 inches Style: TV only
Wanted to get a new TV for my bedroom but also wanted gaming features to make use of my Xbox Series X that was previously collecting dust. I can say, at least for right now, it’s perfect. Obviously I cannot speak for the long term durability but I can say as of right now, it’s perfect. Picture quality is amazing for YouTube content which is my main use case. But as I mentioned before, it’s also everything I wanted for my Xbox. TRUE 4K @120hz (showcased in picture 2), not the FAKE Fluid Motion Acceleration which mimic’s high refresh rate motion at 60hz. You can tell the difference by checking the unit specs. If it says something like “120hz Fluid Motion Frames” but says 60hz in the specs, then its not true high refresh rate. If it says 120hz like this TV, then its true high refresh rate. Aside from that it has all the gaming features you want. Variable Refresh Rate (which my main PC monitor doesn’t have, or at least it ain't compatible with Xbox), auto low-latency, HDR10, and Dolby Vision for Gaming (showcased in picture 1) I personally don’t use HDR cause it looks bad particularly in online multiplayer games, but for story based games, its great. It also has a 4k 144hz output for PC’s which is a nice touch. This is probably the best price to performance gaming TV you can get right now at $479 (as of 04/28/25), and 55 inches is great for personal use, although they do have a 65 inch for living room gamers. I will of course change this review should anything go wrong tech wise within the next 6 months. For example if the TV is physically damaged, I will not update this review (cause obviously). ... show more

  • TCL 55" QM7
Size: 55 inches Style: TV only
I am happy with this item, but can't give it 5 stars. This is a good tv, perhaps the best in the budget category. I use it in my bedroom. There is some notable blooming or halo effect when a bright logo is on a black scene. That's really the only complaint. It was shown in multiple YouTube reviews so it wasn't unexpected, but simply a limitation of a TV in this category. $475 vs $1200+. The $1200+ are the 5 star tv's, but that's a lot more money for that last star if you're on a budget. I'm also watching in a dark room. The contrast is nice. I have a xbox series x hooked up to it, runs just fine. No issues streaming from the apps either. At $475, it's been a 5 star value thus far. Some gripe about the color calibration out of the box, I think they look fine. To each their own. There are no dead pixels or defects that I've been able to notice. ... show more
