The TBMLC 32" Silver Round Galvanized Steel Fire Ring Pit for Backyard, Camping Bonfire works great to block wind from my LP fire pit. It fits around it with some room to spare for safety. It's easy to assemble and being galvanized it can withstand the elements and being left outside. I use my LP fire pit aat my hunting lease and being in NW Oklahoma the winds are almost constant and high. We can rarely have a fire in our traditional fire pit due to the extreme fire danger in this region. This galvanized steel ring allows the use of the LP fire pit and keeps the wind gusts from blowing out the fire. It too provides an increased level of safety and allows us to enjoy a fire and its warmth in camp. This ring is easy to assemble and works great for a nice backyard fire. It is tall enough to hold in the embers and ash when the wind blows. I am thinking of using it for a raised vegetable bed in the spring. This fire ring has more than one use and is super well made and built to last. Exactly the size I wanted but... IF someone happens to step on it, it will crush like a soda can. It might last one season (if no one steps on it). I will be looking to make one from a 55 gallon drum and bolt it together like this design.

For the price I guess it’s ok but not as well made as the last fire ring we purchased that lasted for years. This one looks like it may last a year or two.

This is advised as a fire pit, and that what I wanted to use it for before I realized how dangerous it is to use Galvanized Steel as a fire ring. It's amazing that something so toxic could be so common. I'd look it up and do my research to see if it's worth it before buying if I were you. For gardening, the product is fine. Just wish it hadn't been advised as a fire pit. ... show more

This is a galvanized steel ring fire pit. It is 32 inches in circumference and made with corrugated galvanized steel. It was very easy to assemble, as the manufacturer was kind enough to provide you with wing nuts instead of regular nuts! I have a large amount of yard brush that needs to be burned, so I got this fire pit to do it safely. When we are done with that, we will be using it as a regular fire pit. This steel ring fire pit is made exactly like the raised beds that I have. So this could also be used as a raised bed, very easily. This ring is made of 6 metal sections (arcs). They are bolted together (nice hardware supplied) in four places. The included screwdriver is basically useless. A good #2 Phillips will make it go easy. It assembled quickly with the fit perfect. It was quite solid after tightening the bolts. They even included a extra pair of bolts and wing nuts. The metal was fairly lightweight, as is the assembled ring. I wish it had been somewhat thicker. I am concerned with time it will age quickly if used as a fire ring.
