OK. I'm going to start right off telling you that, despite having multiple tattoos and hanging around tattoo artists my whole life, I know ZERO about tattoo devices (I can't say the G-word). Well, not zero, but not much more. So whatever I say in this review is coming from a TRUE beginner, and I think this is who the kit is aimed at anyway... The machine itself it pretty self-explanatory and easy to use, even if you've never picked up one before (and I haven't). Which is good, because the only instruction manual that comes with this is for a completely different model! Power is turned on/off with a long press of the 'Mode' button The speed/voltage is selected with a short press of the same 'Mode' button. The needle depth is adjusted by twisting the head of the 'pen.' The needle cartridges are installed by pressing in (while holding the cartridge on the side - DO NOT put your finger over the tip as the needles may be extended past the tube when installed) - and twisting to lock in place. The kit comes with everything that you need to at least get started practicing tattooing. There are five small bottles of red, yellow, blue, black and white ink; a couple of pieces of practice 'skin'; a couple of sheets of transfer paper; the tattoo 'pen' itself; ink cups; a sample packet of ointment; a roll of... well, I don't know what that is - maybe to dress the finished tattoo?; and five each of two different sized needle cartridges - 120 5RL (round liner) and 120 7RM (round magnum). I tried both types of cartridges and the liner seems REALLY fine. I mean, like mechanical pencil fine. Like I said, I don't have any experience with doing this - only what I've seen in videos - but I was expecting a thicker line. The shader (the 7RM) worked really good, though. I also bought another box of assorted cartridges at the same time I got this. The cartridges were, in fact, interchangeable, so the claim that you can use any popular needle cartridges with this is accurate. The fake skin seems to be good (as far as I know). I will say that the white ink doesn't show up very good (if at all) on the yellow 'skin,' but white isn't a good tattoo color anyway, from what I understand, so... I don't know if this is good for professionals or even people who know what they are doing, but for us beginners... I like it and I plan on practicing with it. The missus has already pre-approved me giving her her next tattoo once I figure out which end to hold 🤠

I’ve tried out quite a few tattoo pens but this one is probably the best one I have tried for the price. It is good for beginners, but a friend of mine is a professional tattoo artist, and he tried it out, and loved it. He said this was a great pen to work with, and he had some amazing results with it. My favorite part is that it is quiet and very smooth while working. It doesn’t have that jerky vibration that some pens tend to have. This Pen has a shorter, rounder body than my other pens, but that makes it fit my hand better with less cramping when doing tiny detail work. It can take an AC adapter, but you have to buy your own. The RCA Jack connects to the battery pack on the top, making it wireless. I like the wireless pens because you have more freedom of movement with them. It has an excellent LED Display you can read at a glance and easy on/off buttons. The battery goes from 4.0v to 12.0v and still maintains that smoothness with no vibration. This is a great beginner kit because it comes with a sample of everything you need to begin learning, including fifteen individually wrapped needle cartridges, which include five ball point pen cartridges so you can practice on paper, five bottles of ink, ink caps, grip tape, latex gloves, A&D ointment, tattoo design transfer paper (one sheet) and a practice skin as well. You can buy sets of practice skin to go with this. It does include an instruction manual, and I would suggest reading it all while handling the pen to see how it functions.

I like that this machine is a beautiful color other than the standard black machines that seem to be the majority of what you see. It’s a nice looking machine. The kit comes with some basic stuff: ink caps (medium size), 1 thin gauze roll, gloves, RCA battery, fougera A&D packet, a wormhole sticker, needles, and 5 black pen ink cartridges. There’s also a thin .5mm skin that is stretchy, xfer paper, and a 5 pack of ink (blue, yellow, white, black, red). The ink is crap but you can practice with it. They give you a 10 pack of needles (5 5RL/5 7RM). The machine has a USB-C connection, 1500 mAh battery, 2 hr charge time, 3-5hr run time. The one thing I love that this kit gives you is a 5 pack of black ballpoint ink cartridges for dotwork. The cartridges last a while. I did a piece that took nearly 4 hours operating at 4v only and i only lost 1 bar of battery. My battery was still very full as was the ink cartridge. The machine isn’t as quiet as others and it does put out a lil bit of vibration but it’s still much better than coil machines.

It is small and does take some getting used to but the colors it came with are vibrant and it needles nice and smooth, does not cut the skin up, and leaves it with minimal scarring, great for beginners.

This is not a professional quality kit, but I did not expect it to be, as I am not a professional. I love to sketch and my husband always joked about trying to apply my art in tattooing. I never thought much further into it until I saw this. It is a great kit that gives everything you need to try it out, even practice skin! Thank goodness for that, because I am not trying this on an actual person. It is wireless and lasts for 3-5 hrs., my experience was towards the lower range of that, but not a big deal for me because I am not planning to use it for an extended length of time. Very reasonable in price for something to try out. I did not previously even know that there were options like this. So much fun!
