Yes, this is a great kit, and the price is absolutely phenomenal. There's an awesome discount coupon that Amazon is offering on this product page right now (50% off!), that makes this kit a no-brainer. It's amazing! This kit has a pen that is, how should I say it? Phenomenal! It's so incredibly smooth and quiet. You'll have to put your ear next to it to make sure it's running. Yup, that quiet. The pen is beautifully made, and has a sort of gold, maybe bronze color finish. It's a short, stout pen, and I really like the shape. It really fits well in my hand. Even at the original price, I can't get over this pen. The pen has a battery pack that sits at the top, connected through an RCA jack. You can also do without the battery pack if you wanted to use an AC power setup. Naturally you would need an AC power supply unit, a foot switch, and cables. Those aren't included here. But just using the battery pack is a real pleasure. It's well made, and has an excellent LED digital readout. It's got a 3 button operation ("On/Off", "+", and "-") which makes it very simple to operate, and intuitive. The working range of the battery pack is from 4.0v all the way to 12.0v, and it's smooth as glass throughout, and ultra quiet. The stroke length is adjustable to 4.0mm. The top of the battery has a port for a USB-C charging cable, and one is also included. There is a small set of five practice inks, and fifteen needle cartridges. Interestingly, there are five (of the fifteen) that are actually ball point pen practice cartridges... something I've not seen included in any other kit before. There are also a single roll of black (narrow) grip tape, and single pair of blue latex exam gloves, a small set of ink caps, a single tube of A&D ointment, a single sheet of tattoo design transfer paper, a single sheet of tattoo practice skin, and an owner's manual/instruction booklet. This is an outstanding kit, and should be selling for so much more. It's a crazy value, and even better right now with that 50% coupon from Amazon. You will love this pen, whether your new to tattooing, or an old hand. This will be an unbeatable bargain, and those that passed on it, will wish they hadn't. ... show more

There is a NOTICE and WARNING on the product information regarding beginners not using the pen on human skin. The pen itself is aesthetically pleasing and super easy to use. It’s pretty quiet and has low vibration. There are 3 modes: normal, jump-start, and dotworking mode. To turn the machine on in normal mode just press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. To turn it on in jump-start mode double-click the power button. To turn it on in dotworking mode press and hold the + button for 3 seconds. After turning it on under the mode of choice you can adjust the voltage using the + and - buttons and when you’re ready to work just press the power button. The LED screen displays the working time and battery life. The warranty and available help that are offered are reassuring. Conclusion Great for beginners to use for practice on practice skin.     • An excellent beginners kit, runs quiet and super smooth
I’ve tried out quite a few tattoo pens but this one is probably the best one I have tried for the price. It is good for beginners, but a friend of mine is a professional tattoo artist, and he tried it out, and loved it. He said this was a great pen to work with, and he had some amazing results with it. My favorite part is that it is quiet and very smooth while working. It doesn’t have that jerky vibration that some pens tend to have. This Pen has a shorter, rounder body than my other pens, but that makes it fit my hand better with less cramping when doing tiny detail work. It can take an AC adapter, but you have to buy your own. The RCA Jack connects to the battery pack on the top, making it wireless. I like the wireless pens because you have more freedom of movement with them. It has an excellent LED Display you can read at a glance and easy on/off buttons. The battery goes from 4.0v to 12.0v and still maintains that smoothness with no vibration. This is a great beginner kit because it comes with a sample of everything you need to begin learning, including fifteen individually wrapped needle cartridges, which include five ball point pen cartridges so you can practice on paper, five bottles of ink, ink caps, grip tape, latex gloves, A&D ointment, tattoo design transfer paper (one sheet) and a practice skin as well. You can buy sets of practice skin to go with this. It does include an instruction manual, and I would suggest reading it all while handling the pen to see how it functions. ... show more
