The negative reviews had me in a slight panic. I have used the more expensive brands successfully for years at this point to heal my tattoos and never had an issue. This stuff is not to be put on and off like plastic wrap. Of course ripping it off multiple times is going to pull at scabs. It also is NOT meant to protect against full submersion in water (swimming, baths, etc). It is waterproof in the sense that it can get wet in the shower. If you plan on swimming, hold off on getting tattooed. Use this stuff as directed by a professional and you will have no issue. Those writing negative reviews are either allergic to an ingredient (patch testing is important, as per the instructions - do not skip this step! if you’re allergic to bandaids, DO NOT USE) or lack the reading skills to use the product successfully.

This is a great price for such a large roll. Great quality as well. It seals very well and upholds better than any I've ever tried before. It is easy to cut and the backing pills off very easy. It does not peel off before you are ready to take it off. I have even showered with it on and it didn't affect the stickiness of it. I have tried other brands that seem to peel off shortly after you put it on.But this one really seems to adhere very well. It's thick enough that it doesn't tear easily but not too thick to be uncomfortable and get itchy. If you're looking for some very comfortable nd good quality covering for your tattoo, look no further, THIS IS IT!

this is surprising nice! i got 3 new tattoos recently and have been using the clear dressings from CVS, but my last tattoo is much bigger and i like how even after i applied it, i could recut it again with easy pulling it off my skin, then removing the #2 layer of plastic. it’s very thin compared to the cvs bandage and the one the tattoo artist placed over originally, but because it’s in a crease area, it’s very comfortable

Update: after the first application went terribly, I removed it after a couple of hours. We decided to try again, and the second application seems to be performing much better after 14 hours of wear, including sleeping with no other protection on the tattoo. Maybe it was user error the first time? I’m not sure? We trimmed the corners to round them off, I think that helped a lot, as the corners were the main problems for peeling the first time, and once they started to peel the whole sheet peeled quickly. Updated to 4 stars After using Derm Shield in the past, this product seems to be far lesser quality. It’s about half the price. So I guess no shocker there. It’s falling off after only an hour or normal wear. Derm Shield took me 30min of actively trying to remove it before I got it off. 2 stars

I didn’t use it immediately after my tattoo, it’s was a few days in when I saw a few spots wasn’t healing correctly. I cleaned it and placed its and it’s been providing the perfect healing environment for my tattoo. I will always use this for my tattoos from now on

This is my first tattoo since 2011 so also my first time using this stuff and it is amazing! So much easier and the healing process is definitely sped up.. my artist put it on in shop and after 24 hours I removed and replaced using this and photo above is at 2 days now... plan to leave it own 5 days total. Definitely do no it use if you have an adhesive allergy but if not I would most definitely reccomend.

Pros: it's soft,flexible, sticks nicely when you figure out how to get it placed and comes off without being incredibly painful. It's VERY thin and very comfortable. Cons: it's a little difficult to work with. There is backing both on the back and front. Contouring to the body is a bit tricky. If you peel the backing it nearly always gets stuck to itself. If you do not peel the backing it doesn't contour well and the edges come up from the skin when you do peel the backing. Do NOT touch the sticky side at all in the process. Once it touches skin and releases it won't stick well at all again. The outside layer is much like cheap plastic wrap and will stick or "snag" on clothing. When used on my thigh, both shorts and pants easily pulled it off by sticking to it when pulling them on and off. It is NOT waterproof in the slightest-which was why I ordered in the first place. I needed to hold a bandage over an open wound so I could get into my pool to vacuum. Within a minute the well placed, sealed bandage was completely off.

I saw a lot of reviews saying that the product hurts to take off, and it does not come with good instructions. These type of bandages, especially if there is a tattoo under it, need to be slowly removed under running water. Then wash with soap and water and dry before reapplying. If you use a cream/gel product, wait for it to fully dry before reapplying as well. The bandages themselves are actually great. I've had waaaay more expensive brands stick significantly worse. They are truly flexible, I use these for pimples as well and they have no problem on my face. Comfortable, easily forgettable its on. They do not curl up either. Occasionally the clear side of the wrap will not come off the bandage. I've lost a little bit of my roll to this problem. Really great product otherwise.
