Tarpco Safety Heavy Duty 10 Mil Tarp 40 X 60 Tarp, 10mil - Two They are somewhere around 100lbs apiece They come wrapped unbelievable well - best I have ever seen - they will be protected from dragging around - this is important when working by yourself. Double wrapped - rip & tear proof transit - just looking at them wrapped is less strain immediately After using 5 to 7mil tarps and struggling to separate & spread (used to wait for wind to help unfold) these 10mil tarps will just "flop out" you unfold & the weight of material will keep it flat. Extremely impressed with the white 10mil tarp - it actually reminded me of windsurfing due to the feel of fabric - almost like a sail. TAKE NOTE: These suckers are really, really slippery when wet - have you ever played hockey? - its slippery - please have manufacturer show statistics of people using as "Slip & Slide" (on purpose or otherwise) - try to pick soft spot in yard beforehand. I use soft, slick soled shoes when walking on tarps - hot mop gravel can cause problems When such conditions exists (gravel, broken tiles etc) leave your old tarp in place as under-layment for this tarp. Tarps should be bought for life span of use & value of goods to be covered. Of major concern is amount of UV - lifespan can vary drastically 5mil direct sun? - 6 months tops? Wind has big effect - adding wear/abrasion points - 10mil is heavy enough to be stable in gusts - 5mil is worrisome Such a big industry - plastic pollution prevalent - why are there no established parameters? - independent lab testing? There should be industry standards - you can get cheated so easy thinking your getting 7mil when in fact it is 5 The add might say different than the package - remember - these suckers are heavy - even the 5mil is 50 or 60lbs for this size - if you have to send it back & you pay shipping? I would trust this company now - just from these two tarps Yes they are very expensive Try not to use tarps at all please - think of environment - microplastics - the 5mil tarps from other companies I have used in the past will break down into shreds and blow everywhere - extremely hard to pick up - but if you need a quality tarp try to keep these guys in business. Perfect for what i use it for; covering part of the car and the attached Napier tent when car camping. Extra layer of protection from rain ans whatever drops out of trees. White deflects the sun better and keeps it brighter underneath. It will get really cruddy after a while. This is second one within a three year period. Have used it all around the country many times so i think its worth the money.

Update: after 3 years of constant outdoor use as a deck table cover, the plastic is dusting off leaving a fine residue from the tarp. For this type of use, plan on 3 years at most. Previous review: I've now purchased three of the Tarpco 14 mil tarps; 6x8, 8x10 and 10x10 for covering a variety of items. These are high quality tarps; definitely waterproof. My previous tarps were lighter weight and didn't last more than a couple years. The grommets are also heavy duty; very well attached and there are plenty for tie down at multiple spots or for looping a cord/rope throughout. Since I use these primarily to cover deck items that are visible from the house, it's important to me that they look good...they do! Secondary use is for covering a 15' kayak while atop the car; secure tie down and waterproof are critical features; I can't have the tarp tear apart at 65mph or leak water into the boat (the weight would cave the rooftop in!). These are the best tarps I've used for this.

This tarp is being used as a pool cover. I was pleasantly surprised when the 80 foot length was enough to cover the pool even with the raised spa It's only been on a week, so durability is just a guess. Water resistance seems good. Time will tell

It fit nicely under the Midwest X-pen we used, with the edges of the tarp extending outside the pen & out of reach of puppies looking for “projects” - like chewing edges of the tarp instead of playing with the myriad of toys & chews provided to them! Alas! That is just what puppies are supposed to do as they explore their world. Our job is to think of all the ways they can get into trouble, & try to prevent them from accessing those ways! The key to a good puppy pen floor - we discovered after several previous (all of them rescues!!) litters raised - is to use a HEAVY GAUGE tarp! The cheaper, lighter tarps don’t lay nice, making it difficult to mop up messes (with a swiffer & pieces of potty pads cut to fit, btw!). The heavy gauge is smooth, which makes it near impossible for puppy teeth to grab. Pleased with the price, durability, & especially speed of delivery, as these pups arrived at 7weeks old in 2 days, so we had to scramble to set up our pen system again!
