I purchased this item in August of 2024 for a remodel, it was installed in early December by a certified plumber, then wired up by a certified electrician, it worked for about a week, the sellers customer service department wanted nothing to do with me, and directed me back to Amazon who then advised me that my return window was closed and I was out of luck for any remediation through them. I am not only out the original purchase price, but now have to purchase a new unit outright and pay for the installation again. Needless to say, I wont be purchasing anything else from thus seller and would highly recommend anyone else not to buy from them, they dont stand behind the product they sell and have horrible customer service. Bought this to replace a 11.8 kw Titan heater that had failed. Couldn't get any technical support from Titan after leaving a phone message and sending an email, but I digress. I thought this heater would be sufficient since only 0.8 kw smaller, but once installed it couldn't produce hot enough water for our needs. It seemed like a well-built unit, but have now replaced it with a 14 kw unit, about the largest I could get and still use a 60 amp double throw breaker. It comes with a remote, although I don't know why - I'm sure most people never look at their water heater again, once adjusted to their needs. ... show more
