Used on hair that has a curl pattern of 2B to 2C. The bristles are not so stiff that it causes hair to tear. Easy to rinse clean. This was such a great de-tangling brush, and it was liked so well that I bought a second brush. The aecond item is used by a tween with mid-back-lengthed long hair, also with the 2B to 2C curl pattern. It is frequently used in the shower to comb conditioner through thick strands. I was skeptical. We have tried many products and brushes. Used this on wet hair with a little conditioning spray and voila! It was so simple for my 8 year old - no whining or complaining and now she can do it herself too. Highly recommend. Gets out tangles and keeps curls bouncy.

I don’t really think about stuff like this, but a video on useful hair supplies drew me into buying this brush. And I’m very very happy about it, it does everything it says it does. It doesn’t snag or pull out my hair at all. It feels amazing in the shower, better than my side tooth combs, and helps clean my hair better. I like how it works with my shampoos. It runs through dry hair wonderfully too. I can wake up with bed head and sort it out within seconds, opposed to any other brush I ever owned. Its turned into my everything brush. I even brush my hair when I’m bored now because it feels so effortless. It’s sort of crazy. I love this brush. You better get it before it’s gone!

So this brush was a game changer for me. It definitely helps in detangling my kinky, curly hair. This is 100% a wet brush. Not to be used on dry hair. It barely feels like it pulls when your hair is wet and it's great to spread product into your curls! You brush it and it DEFINES those babies! I will say, I've had this brush for over 6 months now and I can see how my hair has bent/damaged some of the bristles. So that is definitely something to take into consideration. Overall- I'm really pleased with this purchase.

Rough on scalp, and the handle isn't ergonomic. I do appreciate that it's easy to clean. As for the effects... I'm not sure. I guess my prior brush was doing a good enough job to begin with.
