I bought this bench a year and a half ago, and I purposely waited to post this review until I had the opportunity to see how the bench would hold up. Well, it looks just as nice and works just as well as when I first purchased it! This was easy to assemble, attractive, and sturdy. I keep it outside, by my front door. The seat lifts up, with plenty of WATERPROOF storage underneath. I keep my mucking boots, running shoes, etc. in this bench, and everything has consistently stayed dry, even in the most blustery storms. I love the appearance and functionality of this product. It was well worth the price! Highly recommend!

It showed ip on time and was easy to put toger it is very sturdy , looks great on my deck and very comfortable for a largr guy like me.the only issue is that it is not waterproff and "bag" is not attached and similar to a garment bag althow shaped for the box.Learning curve I guess. All in all very pleased with this item and will probably order a second once I get the rest of my yard sorted out.ooking good.

I'm small and not particularly handy, but I did manage to put this together without help. Turning the screws with the Allen wrench provided was hard work. I stripped two of them and ended up tightening them with pliers (I should have removed them and replaced them, but no extras came with the bench and I was impatient.) Trying to balance the parts of the bench while attaching them was miserable - a few suggestions about that would have been helpful. I'm happy enough with the look of the bench and apparent sturdiness, although I won't know for awhile if the screws stay tight or not. The lid can close hard and loudly - I'll probably glue some felt to the outer edge to soften that.

For the price, this bench appears to be a good value. It arrived on good condition, and the pieces assembled relatively easily within an hour. For novices in assembling such products, do not tighten the screws at first when assembling this bench. Tighten all the screws once all the parts are assembled to make it an easier job. The bench also comes with a guide to maintaining the bench over the years, so we hope to get at least several years of use out of it.

We needed a way to store recycling on our small, covered front porch without a bunch of ugly plastic bins. This bench is the best solution! I put it together solo in about a half hour, but I'm sure someone with better hands could have done it faster. I put three 11x11 boxes inside to hold cans, bottles, paper. The bench looks nice and provides a seat to accompany our rocker. As someone else notes, if you want a cushion, you may have to have one made (or make one yourself) - it's an odd size that I haven't been able to find here or in stores. In terms of construction, all the holes were predrilled, even for the hinges (but it took me a few minutes to figure out where the holes were and how to attach hinges). The rest of the kit was easy to put together. The directions advise only putting screws in halfway until the bench is assemble (except for lid), and that's a good point. Things need to be loose so you can fit the back of the bench on. Then tighten everything up. The directions also note that if one of the large screws doesn't feel like its going in right, back it out and try again, being sure to keep the two pieces aligned. That was also helpful. All in all, a great buy. We won't be working this bench too hard, and its under cover. I'm hopeful that we'll get some decent years out of it.

It was easy enough to put together but even with the allen wrench 3 of the screws stripped half way in. The liner isn’t waterproof and water pools on the top so what’s the point I tossed it. Everything in there gets wet regardless. I gave it 3 stars because even with the stripped screws it is sturdy and gives me a comfortable place to enjoy my garden and store things that can get wet.

It’s a beautiful bench. Sturdy. Fairly easy to put together. I only issue is the fact that the seat is somewhat high. This makes it a little uncomfortable for someone short like me.
