Love the look of this pergola! The frame is very sturdy and built well compared to previous gazebos I’ve owned. Assembly was easy with the exception of a few pieces that were difficult to fit together, but overall assembling the components was not a problem. It will take two people to start building the structure, and I would recommend using a ladder to attach the cross beams. If you also have a hex key drill bit, it’s so much faster to assemble with a drill. Can’t wait to have this for summer!

We built this today and put it up in our backyard. I’m impressed with the product quality for the price. It’s sturdy and has a lot of nice features to it that make it look high end. Some people complained about the shades but I actually really like that there are two instead of one because the wind is able to escape through the crack and that way when it’s windy (today was a super windy day so I know this), the whole thing doesn’t get picked up from the air getting trapped under the shade. I will say that it was not very easy to put together. I wish the instructions had been better at telling you which direction things needed to be turned. We ended up having to turn two of the cross beams around after we’d already assembled a good portion of it, so that took extra time. Overall, it took us about 3 hours to put together. My spouse and I were able to do it on our own. Also, do yourself a favor and ditch the Allen wrenches and use screw drivers with the Allen wrench tips on them. You’ll need a couple tall step stools too!

This pergola is sturdy enough and the metal is weather resistant so it can be kept up year round which is what I plan to do. The metal is rust resistant and it has the option to get bolted to the ground for sturdier set up. This set is definitely a two person project but it only took about an hour for two of us to get set up after the parts were all sorted. I felt that the instructions were easy to follow and the quality is up to par with what I would want out of a metal pergola but at a lesser price point than others I’ve searched.

The part that holds the curtain bangs with the slightest wind and you can not sit under even with a light rain due to the curtains being 2 separate pieces. The actual curtain lasted one year and this is with taking it off in the fall for the winter. Definitely was not easy to assemble. We screwed it into the cement or it would have never stayed put. We have add a metal top to the pergola and going to add some curtains for the side.

Many of the pieces came with large scratches and imperfections. Some of the bars which needed to be connected together were far too tight of a fit, making it miserable, and for most of them actually impossible, to align properly for the bolts. One half of the fabric sheet canopy came with multiple large stains. An issue I have with the design of this pergola is that the canopy sheets connects to vertical bars via a metal ring. The canopy sheets pick up any and all win and this causes those metal rings to bang against the metal bars they encircle, which is highly irritating. Also, the canopy sheets do not cover the entire 10x10 area. Bolts were missing I have tried contacting the seller, asking that they at least replace the stained shade fabric canopy, but so far I have not heard anything back from them and it has been days. If they ever respond and help right their wrongs, I will come back to change this review. Until then, I have to highly recommend SKIPPING this one.

Of course the set up isn’t doable alone. 2-3 people can get it done in 2-3 hours. It has already survived 2 microbursts. It is important that the foundation is in place. It looks beautiful in place of my old rusted shed, and I’ve revived many compliments from neighbors. Most other pergolas of this quality go for more than twice the price. I am very happy with the purchase. If I can offer advise for longevity, it is helpful to clean and drain the water that accumulates after rain. It takes 30 seconds and will prevent staining.
