This may have been just ours, but the screws holding the battery cover in place could not be removed with a screwdriver. They were stripped on the inside and turning the head of the screw did nothing. It was very difficult to add batteries. The toy defaults to full volume every time it’s turned on, and automatically plays an introductory song at full, unpleasantly-loud volume. You can adjust the volume somewhat, but it is always too loud to be a good toddler toy. Do love the polyphony and the range of sounds, though.
