I needed some batteries that were for solor powered lights since one of my lanterns had stopped working. I looked at so many the past few months than I saw these on sale for under 6 bucks, I figured they weren't a bad price so it was worth taking a chance on . When I first put one of the batteries in my lantern it didn't light up and I thought perhaps the lantern needed to be set outside to let it charge (even though these batteries are supposed to be pre charged ) I had it outside in direct sunlight for half a day and that night the light didn't come on , so I figured if I give it a full day to charge than perhaps it would work... unfortunately again nothing. After that i figured they were just junk. Anyway after about a week I went out and opened my lanterns battery box to make sure I put it in correctly and that they were in fact the right batteries I needed and everything looked OK. My next thought was perhaps a loose wire or something than I remembered that the original battery had some corrosion on it so there was a possibility there was some on the metal . sure enough after I scraped the area clean and popped the new battery in the lantern started working! So far its been working wonderfully for about a week now .. I noticed it comes on right when the sun goes down around 8:00 and I have seen it on at least until 5am . With all that being said I would say these batteries are pretty good and have a long life . Just know these are not like normal Rechargeable batteries, these are for devices that are solor powered only ( yes there is a difference I had to look it up myself to understand the difference) so don't try to use these on regular devices ... they won't last long.

To start, I like the way the Taken batteries come packaged, encased in a foam cushion inside a custom square box. A "user manual" is also provided, which evoked a chuckle because who really needs that for AAA batteries! It's a nice touch though - demonstrating the company's belief in their product & a good resume from which I would hire them and was glad I did. The pamphlet's 6 bullets well-describe the Ni-MH battery technology in terms of it's "relatively mature" application(s) - commercial hybrid vehicles for example - it's performance capabilities in low temperature applications and it's resistance to overcharge and discharge. Speaking of discharge, Taken claims their cycling range to be "2000+" which is on the high end of the spectrum for Ni-MH AAA's. Conversely, it's on the low end for charge capacity - 600 milliamp hours there. As far as performance, they have been in good daily service for a month now as the sole power source for a 44 LED magnifier - still shining brightly. To be sure, I am not using them exactly in the function for which they are marketed - as "solar light batteries" with frequent charge and discharge cycling - but the utility of this battery for my purposes is solid so far.

I love these batteries, works well with my charger. They hold the charge pretty well and charge up really fast. It works really well with my fire tv remote, TV remote and lasts several weeks. Highly recommend these for indoor use.
