Description

This red dot optic is our most compact and lightweight of all the Predator sights built to conserve valuable real estate on the rail.. Accompanied with a .83” riser for absolute co-witness with most iron sights it is also constructed to work perfectly with our 3X Falcon V1 red dot magnifier. The lenses on the Predator V3 Micro Red Dot Sight has a beautiful red-orange anti- reflection coating housed in a nitrogen injected fog proof aluminum body which is submersible up to 10 meters. A 45-degree offset picatinny rail mount is included with the packaging to allow the shooter to use this as a 1X back-up sight alongside their magnified optics. The Tacticon Predator V3 Micro Red Dot features 11 different adjustable brightness levels to accommodate most lighting conditions. As with all of our other optics, windage and elevation are fully adjustable and battle tested to hold zero with heavy recoil. Red Dot Sights will only take you so far; our Falcon V1 Magnifier will take you 3x closer. The Tacticon flip to side magnifier has taken no short cuts in the process and has been engineered with German glass to give you the best optic we could possibly deliver for a price that costs a third of what our nearest competitor offers. This red dot magnifier gives you an image that is 3x closer but also pairs with our Predator V1, V2, and V3. Creating a product with eye relief is important, that’s why we have designed it to give the user 3″ of eye relief.     • Personal touch and better than expected
I will start with the super-positive, I received my order with a "personal" note from the owner of Tacticon and, while it may have been a copy, it showed that the company and owner care. It was a simple note thanking me for my purchase, letting me know that they upgrade the shipping for me and asking me for an honest review after receiving my items. Again, it may not have actually been hand written specifically JUST for me but it was an extra step that wasn't necessary either and they chose to do it. I'm looking for more items I can purchase from them to continue to support a company that will make this type of an extra step. So, now to the review..... When I ordered, I wasn't sure what to expect. With the price point of this combo, I wasn't expecting much BUT, and this is a big BUT, I was pleasantly surprised. I have not had a chance to go to the range yet as I just received them yesterday but the build quality and function seems to be hitting above it's price range. I took the time to install both on my rifle just to get a fit and feel and am very happy with the purchase. Both pieces were sturdy and finished nicely, not cheap feeling in any way. Initially the flip button on the magnifier was a little "gritty" and stiff but after taking a couple of minutes to work the button, it did smooth out a little leading me to believe that, with a little lube, it should be smooth as silk and easy to manipulate when needed. The red dot itself was very sharp and clear but man, 11 seetings may be a little much as beyond 6 or 7, it becomes almost too much. The glass on both was crystal clear with no noticeable blemishes or dullness. And, when looking through both, everything was sharp and easy to view. If I had a complaint, it's that the eye relief for the magnifier could be a little better. I'm trying to determine if I can make this work for me. On the Mfg. page it is stated at 2 1/2 inches and that's about right and feels even closer when on the rifle. Past that, the outside edges start closing in quickly. Also, and not a big deal, there was one tiny, pin head size, chip in the finish but no enough to cause any concern for me. These 2 items are why I didn't give it 5 stars. All in all, I'm very impressed with the quality and finish for such a budget combo and will provide additional details after actual use. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase other items from this company because of the quality and the thoughtfulness shown with the note and shipping upgrade. ... show more

    • Few semi minor issues
So, opening the package, the boxes it came in were very nice. You have to do most of the assembly yourself, but it's very easy to do. After installing, upon further inspections the riser for the red dot is offset to the right, making it awkward to look through. Not really a problem for me since a new riser if relatively inexpensive, but just so you know. The fit to the gun is tight and solid, so it seems like a manufacturing issue, not a defect. But the red dot is plenty bright and built solid. The magnifier is built very well and is super sturdy and very clear and crisp. If I decide to throw on a new rod dot I will definitely use it. I use this on my arm and it seems fine. I've got a cheap barrel so it isn't sub moa accurate, but it did take me a full mag to adjusting the dot to where I needed it to be to hit targets at 150 yards, which is definitely the maximum range for this dot to me, as it is extremely difficult to make 1 inch groupings as the dot takes up the first two rings. After sighting it in I shot three rounds at 75 yards and then dropped the optic 6 feet onto the concrete and then submerged it for 15 seconds underwater. Shot three rounds again and the grouping was just as tight, but bent in the elevation cap and the top of the optic behind the first glass lens. no water in the optic. The red dot is not the thickest or the sturdiest thing in the world, but after gross mistreatment it maintained zero and performed better than anything I have ever shot in it's price range. ... show more

First of all the seller is an ambitious veteran and I commend his business ethics and philosophy. Now that that’s out of the way , simply put this combo punches way above its weight class if price is an indicator. I often buy monstrum optics because the bank to buck ratio is very high as is the warranty. I deviated and gave this a shot and I’m not disappointed in the least. Well built , close tolerances, light weight , compact , bright coated optics , it’s all there. Now one caveat is the lens is about the size of a quarter, and because I have this on an Ar .410 upper that can make tracking a bird tricky, but that’s on me . On a 5.56/.223 you can’t beat the bang for the buck even if you pay double this. Great value great product and a great veteran seller! Wouldn’t hesitate to buy again as they cowitness flawlessly. Spiffy looking to boot , but I’m a performance guy first . ... show more

    • One good looking and tough little sight system
Got my Predator v3 micro red dot and Falcon V1 3X magnifier combo and was excited to open it and impressed with the craftsmanship. The red dot is solidly made, even comes with 2 batteries to start off with. It also comes with 2 additional mounting options. The default is the standard mount the second is a riser mount (which you need if you are running the magnifier. The third is a 45 degree off set mount. The magnifier can be mounted in either direction where you can flip it left or right. I chose to flip it to the right as when I sling the rifle the left side is against me. This makes the push button to flip open or closed be on the right and facing forward, not too bad at all. You must push the button to either flip the magnifier open or closed which I prefer to prevent accident deployment or retraction. The American Flag CNC machines into the magnifier is also a nice touch. Make sure you tighten the mounting screws down right and you'll be fine, there is a very very slight wobble in th magnifier but that should be expected since it's a floppy bit designed to move. The hold is sold when closed and doesn't mess with your sighting at all. The wobble is a bit more noticeable when the magnifier is open but that should be expected since it's hanging out in space out of the way, it's only noticable when doing a light jog with the firearm. Over all, very high quality product, life time guarantee and couldn't recommend this product more. ... show more
