So I waited a couple months to write this review to see if maybe I was missing something but turns out my first impression was unfortunately correct, these do definitely NOT live up to the hype, first of all the "live view" takes so long to load (and I have full bars on both cameras) that by the time it loads whatever was there is long gone. Second, the pic quality is pretty good but not any better than a $40 camera from Walmart in my opinion. Third is the subscription model, the yearly cost isn't any worse than any other brand, BUT to have access to all the features the camera is capable of requires another MONTHLY subscription which is nonsense, folks that buy this type of camera buy it to have all the features available for one price, at least thats what I expected. Lastly is the battery life, extremely disappointing to say the least. 2 weeks max on disposable batteries when it's set to send on every trip, so I spend more money to buy the rechargeable battery packs with the expectation they will keep a charge for an extended amount of time.....nope not the case....lasts about a month before needing recharged with an average of 5 pics per day sent instantly, you can get maybe an extra week from a charge if you set it to send once a day but still not worth the cost in my opinion. Summary I sincerely wish I had not spent the money on these, I am so much happier with my Meidase brand cell cameras bought from Amazon also, regular disposable batteries last almost all season sending on each snap, cost of each camera is quite a bit less, subscription costs are a little less but one price gets all features included, granted it doesnt have live view but thats pretty much useless anyway even if you pay the $9 a month per camera or whatever it is. In 3 years I've never had one single issue with any of the 6 Meidas cameras I have. My next try is a Eufy solar powered cellular security camera with remote control, from what I hear those are awesome, I already have the Eufy WiFi security system and love it so I have high hopes for the solar camera!
